If they used a fake ID, would it have fooled most people? Presenting false identification is a crime, too. I have worked at one shop that had a livid mother come down to yell at us about her “do no wrong” angel who gave us his older brother’s license. They looked nearly identical. In that state, tattooing a minor without consent will cause you to lose your body art permit and there is no getting it back. So this 16 year old kid was about to rob someone of their livelihood because he used a fake ID. The police sided with the tattoo artist and the kid was taken into custody and charges were pressed against him.Can you prove that the tattoo shop knowingly tattooed a minor? A reputable shop would do paperwork of some kind for a legal release form. I can’t imagine paperwork was done for a minor if they knew it was a minor. At that point it would be your kids words against the shop. The burden of proof is on you.Did another legal adult sign on their behalf? Not all state laws are black and white about who is allowed to be the responsible party. If someone else made that decision, it might fall on that person and not the Shop at all.I’m sure there could be more factors to take in, but you have to be sure. You can always complain to your local health department, as well, so they might get a surprise visit and have all paperwork checked. If you truly want to hold someone accountable, I would have words with the Shop in question. Talk to the owner or manager. See if the paperwork can be found. You’re more than welcome to involve the police.Lawsuits are difficult. If you can establish an actual crime took place, the lawsuit will hold more merit. I was a DoD police officer in the 90’s in VIrginia on a base that was used by every conceivable branch of the military and civilian operatives including but not limited to Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force . Reserve and active, FBI, ATF, SEALS. NATO force… All had complete professionals in their ranks , all had complete assholes in their ranks. As far as arresting a SEAL, I only recall one for DUI. He was not different than any other intoxicated person and was subject to the UCMJ like anyone else. Wasn’t necessarily a big guy,Didn’t produce any super human strength and overpower the MP station, just a little mouthy. We released him to his command for UCMJ action in lieu of assimilated civilian charge which was our discretion. We knew being in a higher caliber unit, he was in plenty of career trouble without additional civilian court being involved which was always more complicated for us anyway. His chief seemed genuinely embarrassed and apologized profusely on behalf of the SEALs and said it would be dealt with. Point is , the SEALs had a permanent compound on this base and in five yrs , besides minor speeding , I never had negative contact with the SEALS . They didn’t like us driving around their compound even though we were just doing security checks. They ended up fencing up their area which was fine with us. Now if you want to talk about who liked to resist arrest:National Guard soldiers away from home (I too was one for awhile).Intoxicated MARINES, sober ones were quite the professional.UK Soldiers ( only if drunk which was every afternoon apparently!All in good fun but based in reality !

In the UK it was called DistavalIt was believed to help with everything from depression to headaches. No one suspected the events that unfurled. It was one of the worlds top selling drugs at the time since it was considered so safe.It wasn’t until 1961 that the drug was banned thanks to the work of two clinicians Lenz and McBride. Unfortunately, by then over 10,000 children has been born with disabilities as a result of the drugs influence.The main impairments caused by thalidomide as you can see, are the wasting of the limbs, and is usually bilateral (It’ll affect both arms or both legs etc).
