Hi, being in the railways as an officer, I think, I should answer this question.So, the top post is Railways is Chairman Railway Board popularly known as CRB. ( Ofcourse, Minister for Railways is the head of the organisation but he is an MP not an officer).Since you have asked for the best post, I will limit my discussion to officers of Railways only, though there are various other good posts where u can join as a Railway man such as Traffic Inspector, Goods Guard etc.There are three ways to join Railways as an officer.First, U can join through UPSC, Civil Service Examination ( popularly known as IAS exam). This exam is conducted by UPSC every year and it has three stages namely Pre, Mains and Interview. What I did was just revised the whole syllabus in 5 to 10 days with the questions of specific topics. Then revised my sheets of Vibrant for 5 more days, after that I just did a lot of papers from Resonance Test Series and Vibrant Test Series.And I did a lot of problems from Resonance Booklets named Rank Booster, Rank Master, Ready Reckoner and Vibrant JEE success Package.One more important thing I did was, Arihant Past 34 year JEE Advanced Questions, It's a book. I did Maths and Chemistry from that. I did almost whole I. E. Irodov in between. So Arihant Physics past year questions were not necessary.I was involved in the IRP( Intensive Revision Program) of Vibrant Academy, and AITS(All India Test Series) of Resonance... Through that I used to give around 2 - 3 papers of Advanced level per WeekI solved a lot of questions of specific topics from IRP Daily Practice Papers, that helped a lot. All these Papers gave me an advanced paper like environment. If you can find some test series like that, it will be best. You can purchase them from Kota.And I had two best friends Shubham and Tushar(Both from Resonance), I used to study with them, I used to solve their materials, so did they. Shubham got all the materials for free as he was a topper.I used to do all the Resonance Booklets(booster, reckoner etc.) which Shubham had, some we did together and some we did alone. One thing was common, we used to discuss all our doubts with each other. So having such friends help a lot during last days.
