Everyone needs to stand up for American Democracy right now or there will be none in the futureMEETING WITH PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMPTO: Senator M Shirkey,Dear Senator Shirkey,It is my understanding and that of the people of Michigan that you are meeting with the President at his invitation to discuss the election held on November 3, 2020.As a member of a large extended family that has been in Michigan for over 150 years, I wish to express my concern that your position and confidence in any future decision on the electoral college votes which are to be given by Michigan to the winner of the recent election, Joe Biden, could be compromised by this meeting.This is not the time to visit the President and you and your colleagues know it. You also are well aware that not only the state of Michigan but also the country and in fact the world will be watching what you do and what you say and what happens when Michigan should be voting its electors to Joe Biden in the coming weeks.President Elect Biden won Michigan by 14 times the number of votes that President Trump beat Hillary Clinton in 2016. In fact, Biden has 150,000 more votes than Trump which is a substantial, undeniable and irreversible majority. We understand that anyone can challenge an election and there is a legal process for certifying votes, checking their validity and then delivering those results to the Michigan legislature for your formalizing what has already been the clear will of the people. This process has now been completed and it is simply a formality for you to place all of the votes for Michigan with Joe Biden. There will be no more challenges or unfaithful electors and we trust that you will follow your oath and duty.Everything you say and do from this point will be judged by history and your names will be so noted by generations to come. If you decide to bow to the pressure of the candidate who clearly lost and refuse to allow Biden to receive the electoral votes and with your Republican colleagues give these to Trump in the electoral college over the clear winner Joe Biden, you will never live it down. Lindsey Graham violated Federal Law when he called and offered state election board officials perks including cash and positions to throw thriller races. Giuliani has racked up a series of BAR complaints that will end his career. However in Michigan Senator Mike Shirkey and Representative Lee Chatfield, both Republicans, have signaled that if the price is right, they are willing to cancel the popular vote in Michigan and propose a slate of electors for Trump.This is something that neither Pennsylvania Republicans nor Georgia Republicans were willing to do because each state defines selling you political services in that manner as a class A felony.Michigan has the same law on the books, but apparently Shirkey and Chatfield feel they have a way to get around it. By listening to the Trump offer, holding a press conference saying they will accept the offer as an unattached quid pro but not quo, they can have their payment but avoid the felony consequences.Oddly enough, almost everyone says they are wrong.In a case of the cascade effect, Pennsylvania lawmakers may meet with Trump. According to people who spoke with Lyndsey Graham, the offer on the table is a significant one both in terms of personal wealth and government position, and assuming there is a way to avoid the legal penalties a person would have to be a raving do-gooder or an idiot not to take the offers.The final response - none took the Trump deal. Felony charges still matter.

He is not gone yet, he is doing everything he can to subvert the constitution of the USA. He is being aided and abetted by the Republican leadership.Today he is meeting with the Republicans in the Michigan state legislature to pressure them to throw out the votes of Biden who won by 150,000 votes and to give the state to Trump. I have written an open letter to the Senate Majority leader of Michigan to remind him of his oath to Michigan and the US Constitution and instruct, not ask, but to instruct as a citizen to do his duty and make sure those electoral votes go to Joe Biden who was the clear winner.If Trump fails in this attempt and loses and goes then it will deal a significant blow to so called populist leaders. If he is able to subvert and overthrow the government of the USA and retain power, it will be the end of democracy in the USA and will lead to a steep decline in democracy in the rest of the world.The entire world is on trial at the moment and Trump’s ouster is the only thing that is holding it together. The USA is already damaged, if he pulls this off, it is mortally wounded and will never be the same again.
