PDF Editor FAQ

It seems like C++ 23 will have networking. Is this true?

Ask again in a couple years when C++23 is closer to being finalized. See the schedule.C++20 was finalized in February, and C++23 was opened for planning at that time according to the schedule above. That said, their June 2020 meeting was canceled due to COVID-19.There’s certainly proposals for networking under consideration, and it's apparently near the top of the agenda. But there’s no certainty that the proposals will get adopted.

What will happen to C/ C++ in the next 10 years?

I can't say about C but C++ will continue growing and, more important, turning into a simpler and easy language. The C++ committee has decided to implement a new version every 3 years. The next one is C++20 and is scheduled C++23. The goal is to include features that will make C++ a better language to the regular programer, including concepts for example; but at the same time, incorporate features to create faster and efficient aplications, including parallel programming, for instance. As I said, the scheduled features in the next 10 years will make a faster language, but more important, a cleaner an easier language.I know this is a huge objective. I, and a lot of people like me, are hoping it will be accomplished well.Regards.

What's the most disrespectful thing a doctor/nurse did to you or your newborn after you gave birth?

I had my daughter in August 2019 via a scheduled c-section at 39 week 3 days. She was full term but small. One of the nurses, Kathy, repeatedly referred to her as premature. I know it shouldn’t have, but that comment hurt. My daughter was perfectly healthy and full term, but it made me question my decision for a scheduled c-section (for the record, my daughter was breech from 20 weeks on and had never turned over throughout my pregnancy, I was high-risk and receiving two ultrasounds a week to check on her). I could wait to go into labor and have a c-section then, or schedule it, and this nurse made me feel like I should have waited for labor so that my daughter could grow more before having her. This same nurse did not know how to give me insulin injections from the prefilled insulin pens (I’m diabetic, hence the high risk designation). She wasted three doses of insulin down my arm because she didn’t know what she was doing with the pen, before I asked if I could have it and gave the injection to myself. Her comment that followed was “Well, if you could do it yourself, why didn’t you do it first?” I was recovering from major abdominal surgery with a newborn, if I didn’t have to worry about dosing myself with insulin, I was grateful. The pen was then short for my LAST dose of insulin before being discharged. My nurse that day, Linda, was amazing. She told me she could get a new pen from the pharmacy, which would delay discharge, or, if I had any insulin with me, she suggested I handle it myself. I would have been livid had I been made to wait for another pen, charged for another pen, when there should have been enough had the nurse not been unable to give me the injection. I reported it to the unit manager, and when the hospital called me a week later to check in on me, I was told that re-education had already happened for staff on the use of the insulin pen.

Really pretty display they did a fascinating job with the software layout and it just feels good to look at. I also like the concept of having different modules that you can apply to your desire.
