Make me more money.So how does that relate to you and I, the humble “Code Miner”? And how important are GitHub stars to what we find?In all business understanding, work backwards from the money. I’m told this is how much police work happens, as well.A delighted customer pays. Why?The overall marketing persuaded them a pain point would go away, or some new happiness would happen. Why?They were made aware of a pain they did not know they could solve, and told how to solve it. Why?There was a software product that automated away the pain. Why?A business owner discovered a group of people, with money, who spent that money, who had a pain point in common. They ended up with a product that solved that. Why?They understood the pain, broke down a solution into smaller ‘human noticeable tasks’ and asked developers to make those happen? HowA bunch of User Stories were written and blu tacked to a wall in an office. Developers took a a card off that wall and built that feature. How?The developer understood the human level user story, and could invent, download or co-design a solution, which they could deliver as fully working. If not, there’s a good chance that you can find an application online. Once you have filled out the application and obtained a signature from your legal parent or guardian, return it to whoever handles the working papers at your school. Most, if not all states may ask you to return the applicatio with a copy of your birth certificate or other document that proves your age, a doctor’s note indicating you are fit to work, or other specific documents (I used my own state, New York, as a reference).
