PDF Editor FAQ

Don't you feel sad knowing that the Jammu grenade attack accused militant is merely 13 years old, studying in 9th class? Do you feel empathy for his wrong mental and intellectual up bringing?

It's Frightening beyond words.A 13 year old kid did not care about his own death, his heart was left with no mercy for innocent children, men and women . He waged war against the same state which is feeding and nurturing him. Undoubtedly !! There is indeed something wrong…If you think 2.3 lakh armymen are enough to eliminate terrorism from Kashmir, then I respectfully disagree with your opinion. I believe even 1 million armymen cannot eliminate terrorism. As I always say, it is an ideological war. No amount of violence can make us win this battle. Force may be a temporary solution but as an ultimate solution we need to eliminate root of this ideology with an another ideology .My this answer will be divided in 3 different sections:#1 ] How youths get radicalized? [My own experience]#2 ] Who is responsible?#3 ] What steps should we take in order to defeat this ideology?#1 ] How youths get radicalized? [ My own experience ]Caution :- This ideology may affect anyone. Once you are infected by it, you won't care about your own family, relatives or any other person.I studied from a semi-English medium school ( i.e. Science in English and SST in Urdu). When I was in my 10th standard, I had to join a coaching class in order to prepare for SST subjects. I joined a coaching named Silver Coaching Academy (name changed). No doubt, teachers of that coaching were expert in their respective subjects, but at the same time, this coaching was the hub of Salafi ideology. There used to be weekly dārs (Islamic lecture) on every Friday. In these Friday lectures, they used to teach their extremist Salafi propaganda. Leave nationalism aside, they also objected concept of patriotism, National flag, Indian constitution, National Anthem etc. I have seen them telling tales of Afghan Jihad, Kashmir Jihad and many more. Though they were not terrorists/militants but according to me, it is the first step towards radicalization of any innocent youth. These radicals have their reach in each and every city. They are highly educated and expert in their subjects. They have an organized literature which is more than enough to brainwash a youth.#2 ] Who is responsible? In short, All governments from 1947 to till date…I don't think terrorists/extremists are responsible for all this mess. These terrorists are successfully executing their mission of destruction of India, but the basic question is, what are we doing? Don't yo think It was the responsibility of our all previous governments (including this one) that they must have had designed a counter terrorism project?Terrorists have their own organized syllabus. Witch literature do we have in order to counter terrorism? Are there any rehabilitation camps? These questions remained unanswered after every terror attack.Pakistan is responsible for all these terror attacks—Ok , but have ever we questioned ourselves even once that how come an Indian youth got radicalized and went again his own state?Yesterday only, a 13 year old kid killed 3 people and left other 30 critically injured. Almost half of them who were killed, were from his own community. The kid didn't care about anything. He had just one aim i.e. Destruction of India !We couldn't save even a 13 year old kid from getting radicalized. If this kid would not have been detained, then most probably he would've become father of “Osama Bin Laden”.#3 ] What steps should we take in order to defeat this ideology? In order to fight terrorism, we must do following things.First of all, stop using terms like Islamic terrorism or Muslim terrorism. Instead, use words like Jaish-terrorism or Al-Qaida terrorism etc. This may sound a bit awkward, but believe me, it means a lot. When we use words like Islamic terrorism, we indirectly say that Islam means terror and potentially every Muslim is a terrorist. Instead of simplifying it complicates the situation even more. Recently you may have seen Owaisi using word Jaish-e-Shayateen instead of Jaish-e-Muahammad. There is a logic behind using word Jaish-e-Shayateen. Use of these words make a perception among muslim youngsters that terrorist organizations have no link to Islam, in fact these organizations are actually enemies of Islam, but at the same time, if we use Islamic/original words to describe these terrorist organizations, instead of countering terrorism, we are indirectly supporting the agenda of terrorists. By using Islamic words somehow we are making a narrative among Muslim youths that actually these terror organizations are well-wishers of Islam (Which is not true).Secondly I believe, government must construct rehabilitation/counseling centres in all cities. All Muslim schools/coaching classes must be under the watch of government authority so that no child gets radicalized. Especially Urdu literature subject books must have a compulsory unit countering terrorism/extremism.Only Kashmiri mothers can make it possible, mothers should stop their sons from joining the militants' ranks, Indian Army will definitely help those who want to come back into the mainstream. There are many Muslim institutions like Sufi forum, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Hind, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Tabligh, etc that are are working in order to deradicalize Muslim youths. Government should reach them out and help them financially. These groups have a very large sphere among Muslims. They have a potential to revolutionize the whole Muslim community.~K.U.FarqaleetFurther reading in the series of Islamism:Ukkasha Farqaleet's answer to—What is Jamaat-e-Islami and why has the government of India banned it for 5 years?— What is wrong with Wahhabism? Why is Saudi Arabia promoting it?

What are your thoughts on the biggest tragedy to hit cricket, Harsha? The match fixing scandal in 2000; Azhar, Hansie, the fall of demigods?

Thanks for A2A Yagyesh!!Well yes it was by far the worst thing to happen to the game and we still look at games as being fixed…I myself started looking at games with doubts. As soon as a player bowled a no- ball or dropped a catch the common refrain was “ Arre yeh toh fixed hai”.And this has only aggravated over time…look at the spot fixing scandals involving Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer or the IPL spot fixing scandal involving Sreesanth and a number of other domestic players. Day after day new reports of fixing are emerging and this is going to stay like this. We shall never be witness to a ‘clean' game again as I believe the people in charge of cricket bodies are always in charge of what the result will be. But this does not deter me from your watching my favourite game as I DONT KNOW WHAT THE RESULT WILL BE and the people in the know of fixing are clever enough of NOT involving the key players of a team for fixing purposes after what happened to Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja. That said I also believe there were other incidents which brought bad name to the game. One such incident was the mysterious death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer , just after Pakistan had been knocked out of the world cup 2007. We shall never be able to know the real reason for his death and it has been very well shoved under the carpet. I firmly believe it was a case of murder and not a case of mental agony at Pakistan's exit as it is being put out to be. This is because Woolmer had been a successful coach with the South African team and had suffered far bigger setbacks such as when South Africa got knocked out of WC 1999 even though the semi-final ended in a tie with Australia. The overlooking of South Africa due to apartheid till 1992 , the decline of Zimbabwe due to political interventions and the attack on Sri Lankan team in Pakistan in 2009 are other incidents which brought shame to cricket.Thank you!!

What are your thoughts on the India vs Pakistan match (ICC World Cup 2019)?

First of all, I would to congratulate India for their well deserved victory against Pakistan. They outclassed Pakistan cricket team in all departments and earned it through passion, desire and hunger for win. I have come across many Pakistanis who were congratulating Indian team which is positive change being a true cricket fan.IPL has helped India to bring top class talent from grass-roots level. This Indian side amazed me very well where they have no Suresh Raina, Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin. This is first part of my answer as a Sportsman. Being a Pakistani, second part of my answer may not be pleasant to read so I apologize in advance. This is picture of Pakistani Captain Sarfraz Ahmed during India vs Pakistan match. With these gestures at the ground, what do you expect he is mentality fit enough to lead his team against a side which is currently one of the best in the world? No doubt Sarfraz Ahmed is very humble and down to earth person but I’m sorry to say he is not the right person to lead Pakistan Cricket team. Pakistan team is lacking passion, desire and hunger for win during last several months and Sarfraz Ahmed can be blamed for it. The fitness level of several Pakistani cricketers is under question including Sarfraz Ahmed.Fakhar Zaman and Hasan Ali who were heroes of Champions Trophy 2017 are becoming a liability. It's time to drop both of them to ensure green shirt is not foregranted thing.Decline of Pakistan Cricket was started when Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis both got retirement and players like Inzi, Yousuf, Shoaib Akhtar and Abdul Razaq were aging. Though Pakistan team managed to win 2009 T20 World Cup and 2017 Champions Trophy but those were short term fixes and we couldn't addressed the real problems in our domestic cricket structure. During last decade, I can only name Saeed Ajmal, Muhammad Amir and Babar Azam the most consistent players with world class abilities. Playing at slow tracks of Sharjah and Dubai further ruined our cricket where Pakistan team has almost struggled against big sides at overseas soil.Wasim Akram rightly said that 2017 Champions Trophy triumph was a “fluke” and we couldn't able to understand the root cause problems of Pakistan cricket team. I’m sorry to say the domestic cricket structure in Pakistan is very pa****** and old school. We have yet to hunt world class batsman and bowlers through PSL which is concerning. A country that was once producing fast bowlers one after another in 80s and 90s is struggling to find true successor of Shoaib Akhtar.Pakistanis need to realize every cricket tournament is not 1992 World Cup or 2017 Champions trophy. It's time to openly admit we need players with consistent performance with desire and passion to win. How could you blame your team mates when your own captain is yawning at the pitch?Pakistan cricket definitely need major overhauling. Sarfraz and Micky’s time is up. Some sources indicates that both Wasim and Dean Jones are ready to join Pakistani Coaching staff where several changes are expected in team after the world cup. It would be blessing if Pakistan lose the tournament instead of win so it help us to move toward right direction.I’m not disheartened but angered that this Pakistan Cricket team side does not deserve to win this world cup.~MAKImage was taken from Google Images
