So he can sbell the “P”. Sbelling it is not a broblem. The sound is very easy to simulate. The broblem is that he can’t distinguish the sound when he hears it unless the sound is exaggerated. So when you can’t hear the nuanced difference how can you know when to say “P” or “B”? This is why Arabs* turn every “P” to a “B”. It is easier. They do it subconsciously.
