PDF Editor FAQ

Is it possible to learn app development without knowing HTML, js and XML? Can u give some advice on what I need to learn in order to start app development?

Yes, we generally do not use HTML or JS for making apps (presuming you mean smartphone apps here like Android or iPhone). We use Google’s Android development kit, or Apple’s stuff (which only works on Macs) or we use something like Flutter/Dart, or Xamarin. If you have a Windows PC, forget making iPhone stuff for the moment, I would suggest you download Visual Studio Community (not Visual Studio Code) and Google for “My first Xamarin Forms app” and see how you go.

Do ancient Indian scriptures mention Hindu or Hinduism?

Yes!India’s Name in Chinese.Hin-duk 天竺 in Old Chinese.Nation : 国家 Guójiā .Hindu Rajya (Hindu Nation). 印度 国(Guo)(Yìndù/印度教(Yìndùjiào).In 399 A.D.Fa-hien or Faxian (AD 399 – 413): Fa-Hien was the first Chinese monk to travel to India in search of great Buddhist scriptures. At the age of sixty-five, he travelled, mostly on foot, from Central China taking the southern route through Shenshen, Dunhuang, Khotan, and then over the Himalayas, to Gandhara and Peshawar. He mentioned India as Hindu Nation(Yindu Guo) in his writings.A detailed account of Hin-duk 天竺 in Old Chinese is given in the "Xiyu Zhuan" (Record of the Western Regions) in the Hou Hanshu compiled by Fan Ye (398–445):"The state of Tianzhu:(Tianzhu’ 天竺 or ‘Yindu’ 印度 )Also, named Yuandu /Yìndù it lies several thousand li southeast of Yuezhi. Its customs are the same as those of Yuezhi, and it is low, damp, and very hot. It borders a large river. The inhabitants ride on elephants in warfare; they are weaker than the Yuezhi. They practise the way of Futu [the Buddha], [and therefore] it has become a custom [among them] not to kill or attack [others]. From west of the states Yuezhi and Gaofu, and south until the Western Sea, and east until the state of Panqi, all is the territory of Yuandu. Yuandu has several hundred separate towns, with a governor, and separate states which can be numbered in the tens, each with its own king. Although there are small differences among them, they all come under the general name of Yuandu, and at this time all are subject to Yuezhi. Yuezhi have killed their kings and established a general in order to rule over their people. The land produces elephants, rhinoceros, tortoise shell, gold, silver, copper, iron, lead, and tin. It communicates to the west with Da Qin [the Roman Empire], and [so] has the exotica of Da Qin."This evidence of Hindu nation name before invasion of Islamic era.Hindu term derived from Sapta-Sindhu river in Indus valley from Rig-veda.Hindu word. How the word Hindu originated? Some people say that the word Hindu is the translation of the Persians. Because this mention is not in the Vedas. But its written in the holy scriptures & written thousands of years ago.1- The mention of the word Hindu has been mentioned in Brihaspati Agayam of Rigveda as follows.हिमलयं समारभ्य यावत इन्दुसरोवरं ।तं देवनिर्मितं देशं हिन्दुस्थानं प्रचक्षते ।।(I.e. from the Himalayas to the Indu Sarovar, the God-made country is called Hindustan)2- Not just the Vedas .. Rather, the word Hindu has been mentioned in MeruTantra (Shaiv Granth) as such(तन्त्रग्रन्थ, 'मेरुतन्त्र') {मेरुतन्त्र, 33 प्रकरण}पंचखाना सप्तमीरा नव साहा महाबला:। ।(हीनं च दूष्यतेव् हिन्दुरित्युच्च ते प्रिये |)(I.e. ... that ignores ignorance and inferiority is called a Hindu)3- And similarly, this same verse has been repeated in Kalpadrum ..!”हीनं दुष्यति इति हिन्दू ।”(That is, who renounces ignorance and inferiority is called Hindu) *4- In PaarijatHaran, the Hindu has been told something like this ..“हिनस्ति तपसा पापां दैहिकां दुष्टं । हेतिभिः श्त्रुवर्गं च स हिन्दुर्भिधियते ।।”(That is, the one who destroys the enemies of the enemies and the sin by their tenacity is the called Hindu)5- In Madhav Digvijay, the word Hindu has been mentioned as such ...ओंकारमन्त्रमूलाढ्य पुनर्जन्म द्रढ़ाश्य: ।गौभक्तो भारतगरुर्हिन्दुर्हिंसन दूषकः ।।(I.e. ... that is, who believes Omkar as a godly tune, believes in deeds, always protect cows, and keeping away evil, he is a Hindu).6- Not only that, in our Rig-veda (8: 2: 41), the description of Viva Hindu is very powerful and the king of the Dani.Who gave 46,000 Gau-mata donations .And they also get their description in the Rigveda Mandal.शिक्षा विभिन्दो अस्मै चत्वार्ययुता ददत |अष्टा परः सहस्रा ||meṣo bhūto'bhi yannayaḥ ||śikṣā vibhindo asmai catvāryayutā dadat |41. Vib-hindu, thou hast helped this man, giving him thousands four times ten,  And afterward eight thousand more. 7- In the Rig Veda, a sage is mentioned, whose name is Sandhav. Later in the medieval period, it became popular under the name "Hindav / Hindva", which later became a Hindu ... !!8- Apart from this, the Hindu word is mentioned in many places ... It needs to be realised that this change from S to H is common in Saurashtra where Sorath becomes Horath, Somnath becomes Homnath and so on. (Sri Jindasgani in his composition entitled “ Nishith Churni” of Vikram year 733 has mentioned that this city was very prosperous before 7th, 8th Vikram centuries.)2) { What was the name of 'India' 2500 + years ago? }It was called 'Hindush' (H-n-d-wꜣ-y) according to Egyptian hieroglyphs found on the statue of Darius I, About 516BCE. This fact establishes that the term ‘Hi(n)du’ was current more than 500 years before Christ.3)The Greek geographer Herodotus (c.484 – c. 425 BC) book 3 (3.89-97), (3.101) In book 7 (7.65,70,86,187) and in 8.113 Herodotus describes the Indian infantry and cavalry employed in Xerxes' army.(5th century BC) he describes India, calling it ἡ Ἰνδική χώρη (Roman transliteration: hē Hindikē chōrē, meaning "the Indian land"),4) Pre-Islamic Arabic LiteratureSair-ul-Okul is an anthology of ancient Arabic poetry available in the Turkish library Makhtab-e-Sultania in Istanbul. In this anthology is included a poem by Prophet Mohammed’s uncle Omar-bin-e-Hassham.The poem is in praise of Mahadev (Shiva), and uses ‘Hind’ for India and ‘Hindu’ for Indians. Some verses are quoted page 235 of Sair-Ul-Okul and reads as follows:Wa Abaloha ajabu armeeman Mahadevo Manojail ilamuddin minhum wa sayattaruIf but once one worships Mahadev with devotion, One will attain the ultimate salvation.Wa sahabi Kay yam feema Kamil Hinda e Yauman, Wa Yakulam na latabahan foeennak Tawajjaru.(Oh Lord grant me but one day’s sojourn in Hind, Where one can attain spiritual bliss.)Massayare akhalakan hasanan Kullahum, Najumam aja at Summa gabul Hindu.(But one pilgrimage there gets one all merit, And the company of great Hindu saints.)The same anthology has another poem by Labi-bin-e Akhtab bin-e Turfa who is dated 2300 years before Mohammed i.e. 1700 B.C.This poem also uses ‘Hind’ for India and ‘Hindu’ for Indian. The poem also mentions the four Vedas Sama, Yajur, Rig and Athar. This poem is quoted on columns in the Laxmi Narayan Mandir in New Delhi, popularly known as Birla Mandir (Temple). Some verses are as follows:°{Aya muwarekal araj yushaiya noha minar Hinda e, wa aradakallha manyonaifail jikaratun.}(Oh the Divine land of Hind, blessed art thou, thou art chosen land showered with divine knowledge.)°{Wahalatjali Yatun ainana sahabi akhatun jikra, Wahajayahi yonajjalur rasu minal Hindatun.}(That celetial knowledge shines with such brilliance, Through the words of Hindu saints in fourfold abundance.)°{Yakuloonallaha ya ahlal araf alameen kullahum, fattabe-u jikaratul Veda bukkun malam yonajjaylatun.} (God enjoins on all, follow with devotion, path shown by Veda with divine percept.)°{Wahowa alamus Sama wal Yajur minallahay Tanajeelan, Fa e noma ya akhigo mutibayan Yobasshariyona jatun.}(Overflowing with knowledge are Sama and Yajur for Man, Brothers, follow the path which guides you to salvation.)°{Wa isa nain huma Rig Athar nasahin ka Khuwatun, Wa asanat Ala-udan wabowa masha e ratun.} (Also the two Rig and Athar(va) teach us fraternity, taking shelter under their lusture, dispels darkness.)5.) Evidence from Pahlvi Avesta (Zoroastrian)In the Avesta, Hapta-Hindu is used for Sanskrit Sapta-Sindhu, the Avesta being dated variously between 5000-1000 B.C. This indicates that the term ‘Hindu’ is as old as the word ‘Sindhu.’ Sindhu is a Vedik term used in the Rigveda. And therefore, ‘Hindu’ is as ancient as the Rigveda. In the Avestan Gatha ‘Shatir’, 163rd Verse speaks of the visit of Veda Vyas to the court of Gustashp and in the presence of Zorashtra, Veda Vyas introduces himself saying ‘man marde am Hind jijad.’ (I am man born in ‘Hind.’) Veda Vyas was an elder contemporary of Shri Krishna (3100 B.C.).6) The Hebrew BibleThe Hebrew bible uses ‘Hodu’ for India, which is a Judaic form of ‘Hindu’. The Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) is considered earlier than 300 B.C.Today’s Hebrew spoken in Israel also uses Hodu for India.7) Ashokan inscriptions (2300 + years ago)The Asokan inscriptions (3rd century B.C.) repeatedly use expressions like ‘Hida’ for ‘India’ and ‘Hida loka’ for ‘Indian nation’.‘Hida’ and its derivative forms are used more than 70 times in the Ashokan inscriptions. For instance in the Jaugadha, separate rock edict II, the lines 3 & 4, read:All men are my people. I desire for my people that they may be provided with all welfare and happiness. I desire for my people, including the people of Hind and beyond and I desire for all men.The Edict further, says in lines 7 & 8 Dhamma may be followed and the people of Hind and beyond may be served. The Ashokan inscriptions establish the antiquity of the name ‘Hind’ for India to at least third century B.C.The epigraphic evidence from the Achaemenid, Ashokan and Sasanian Pahlvi records puts a question mark on the hypothesis about the term ‘Hindu’ having originated in Arab usage in the 8th century A.D. Literary evidence takes the antiquity of the word ‘Hindu’ back to at least 1000 B.C. and possibly 5000 B.C.References:Brihaspati Agayam of Rigveda.( ऋग्वेद के ब्रहस्पति अग्यम)MeruTantra (Shaiv Granth) {मेरूतंत्र (शैव ग्रन्थ)} Meru Tantra - Raghu Nath Shastri OjhaKalpadrum (श्लोक कल्पद्रुम)PaarijatHaran (पारिजात हरण) 33Madhav Digvijay(माधव दिग्विजय)The Rig Veda/Mandala 8/Hymn 2 /41({ऋगवेद ( ८:२:४१ )}Rig-veda (8: 2: 41) The Rig Veda/Mandala 8/Hymn 2Pin Pin Chinese English Dictionary (Hindu Nation). 印度 国(Guo) (Yìndù/印度教(Yìndùjiào).ANCIENT CHINESE NAMES OF INDIAP. Why is homeschooling illegal in some countries?

I believe that control of education is ultimately predicated upon the answer to the question, “Who is sovereign over you?” (1) If my belief is correct, we could take a look at the status of homeschooling on an international scale(2) and would expect to see a trend that the freer the country, the freer the educational system would be.The status of homeschooling worldwide is quite disturbing, given that in many countries, homeschooling is either forbidden, or put under regulation by the State. This means that in many places throughout the world, governments do not trust in parents to be able to make educational decisions on behalf of their children, and later in children to be able to self-direct their learning endeavors. Therefore, they use their monopoly on force to enforce their educational paradigm on all parents. Here is an experiment for you: Move to Sweden and try to homeschool your children. See how long you can go without having someone knocking on your door to “see if everything is all right.” Regardless of how advanced your children might be above their age peers - how well they know the subject matter and are capable of behaving in society in a well-adjusted, productive, prosperous way - see if the situation doesn’t ultimately escalate to the point where either your children would be forcibly removed from you, or you would be forcibly removed from them. This leads us to the inevitable conclusion that in Sweden, citizens do not have self-ownership - they are essentially wards of the State who are granted puny amounts of autonomy that can be removed at a moment’s notice for breach of protocol established by the “democratically elected”(3) ruling class. Now, we’re going to take a bit of a detour to contextualize the rest of the answer:Hector Quintanilla wrote a nice, thought-provoking piece on education(4). In it, he deals with the subject of automation, and when read in the light of the objective of none other than Bill and Melinda Gates(5,6), the idea of public education in general becomes quite frightening.Public higher education in the United States is at a watershed moment. As education costs rise and colleges and universities face growing financial pressures, the education gap is widening and public student financial aid systems are getting stretched to the limit—all of this at a time when our economy needs more college-educated workers than ever before.Left unabated, these trends will leave the U.S. economy without the skilled workforce it needs to remain competitive and will likely increase the education gap between those from low-income backgrounds and the rest of the population. Given the role that higher education has historically played as an engine of social mobility and economic growth, the political and social implications for our nation, and particularly for lower-income people, are profound and unacceptable. They are also avoidable.(6)Bill and Melinda Gates admit that public education, even at a higher level, is inadequate to meet the needs of the foreseeable economic conditions of the near future, and is only good for making a skilled workforce - translation: more capable peons. What scares me is that Bill Gates, who dropped out of Harvard, is nevertheless touting an apparent need for higher education. He even puts a picture that ostensibly points toward a “good thing” taking place in an engineering class at LaGuardia Community College in Queens, NY:Building such trusswork is something I would expect out of a middle school science class with severe technological limitations, not a group of people who have already made it through High School and are attempting to establish an upper-middle-class career. If this is what higher education amounts to, it’s a joke! And if primary and secondary education are done at a considerably lower level than this, then I’m afraid for the world because of the direction towards which most people are regressing! But, such is the nature of public schooling. It is certainly a step up from no education whatsoever, but it is a considerable step down from what could be, and ultimately, from what was in the 18th and 19th Centuries in the United States, due to the appalling decline in true literacy over the course of the 20th Century(7) incident to the increase in State responsibility, and, therefore, the decrease in parental responsibility in the education of children. When I lived in Cleveland, I would consistently run into people who had graduated high school and were unable to read basic street signs, instructions on automatic machines that were accompanied by illustrations, and who knew very little of things other than “p*ssy, money, [and] weed.” Initially, I thought the whole thing was a farce, but I quickly realized that this is the sad state of “education” - if you can even call it that - today."According to The Journal of the American Medical Association (December 1995), 33 percent of all patients cannot read and understand instructions on how often to take medication, notices about doctor’s appointments, consent forms, labels on prescription bottles, insurance forms, and other simple parts of self-care. They are rendered helpless by inability to read. Concerning those behind the nation’s prison walls (a population that has tripled since 1980), the National Center for Education Statistics stated in a 1996 report that 80 percent of all prisoners could not interpret a bus schedule, understand a news article or warranty instructions, or read maps, schedules, or payroll forms. Nor could they balance a checkbook. Forty percent could not calculate the cost of a purchase.Once upon a time we were a new nation that allowed ordinary citizens to learn how to read well and encouraged them to read anything they thought would be useful. Close reading of tough-minded writing is still the best, cheapest, and quickest method known for learning to think for yourself. This invitation to commoners extended by America was the most revolutionary pedagogy of all."- John Taylor GattoFortunately, I was able to do a little part in correcting the situation by teaching some basic reading and arithmetic by taking turns drawing letters, numbers, and so-forth in the dirt with a stick. It’s amazing how quickly some people learned when they wanted to! Indeed, I once taught a curious, relatively young child the fundamentals of Ordinary, Linear Differential Equations in an afternoon on a baseball diamond by doing nothing more than writing, drawing, and performing calculations with a stick. Clearly, throwing money at the problem isn’t the way to fix it, but it’s about the only solution politicians ever pose to these sorts of problems. Now, having contextualized the situation a bit, we can get back to the point of properly answering the question:Since politicians aren’t stupid, it only stands to reason that they actually have no intention to improve the educational system, but still wish to appear to be doing something. Hence, they throw more and more money at the problem without solving it. The facts are available(8) to anyone who looks for them, and they make it blatantly apparent that throwing money at the problem doesn’t make it go away, and, indeed, may actually compound it! This leaves us with the unfortunate conclusion, that public schooling serves no other tangible purposes than state-sponsored babysitting of people from age 6 to age 18, and for homogenization, indoctrination, and conditioning thereof."An Enclosure Movement for Children"An Excerpt from The Underground History of Education: A School Teacher's Intimate Investigation Into the Problem of Modern Schooling, by John Taylor GattoThe secret of American schooling is that it doesn’t teach the way children learn, and it isn’t supposed to; school was engineered to serve a concealed command economy and a deliberately re-stratified social order. It wasn’t made for the benefit of kids and families as those individuals and institutions would define their own needs. School is the first impression children get of organized society; like most first impressions, it is the lasting one. Life according to school is dull and stupid, only consumption promises relief: Coke, Big Macs, fashion jeans, that’s where real meaning is found, that is the classroom’s lesson, however indirectly delivered. The decisive dynamics which make forced schooling poisonous to healthy human development aren’t hard to spot. Work in classrooms isn’t significant work; it fails to satisfy real needs pressing on the individual; it doesn’t answer real questions experience raises in the young mind; it doesn’t contribute to solving any problem encountered in actual life. The net effect of making all schoolwork external to individual longings, experiences, questions, and problems is to render the victim listless. This phenomenon has been well-understood at least since the time of the British enclosure movement which forced small farmers off their land into factory work. Growth and mastery come only to those who vigorously self-direct. Initiating, creating, doing, reflecting, freely associating, enjoying privacy—these are precisely what the structures of schooling are set up to prevent, on one pretext or another. As I watched it happen, it took about three years to break most kids, three years confined to environments of emotional neediness with nothing real to do. In such environments, songs, smiles, bright colors, cooperative games, and other tension-breakers do the work better than angry words and punishment. Years ago it struck me as more than a little odd that the Prussian government was the patron of Heinrich Pestalozzi, inventor of multicultural fun-and-games psychological elementary schooling, and of Friedrich Froebel, inventor of kindergarten. It struck me as odd that J.P. Morgan’s partner, Peabody, was instrumental in bringing Prussian schooling to the prostrate South after the Civil War. But after a while I began to see that behind the philanthropy lurked a rational economic purpose. The strongest meshes of the school net are invisible. Constant bidding for a stranger's attention creates a chemistry producing the common characteristics of modern schoolchildren: whining, dishonesty, malice, treachery, cruelty. Unceasing competition for official favor in the dramatic fish bowl of a classroom delivers cowardly children, little people sunk in chronic boredom, little people with no apparent purpose for being alive. The full significance of the classroom as a dramatic environment, as primarily a dramatic environment, has never been properly acknowledged or examined. The most destructive dynamic is identical to that which causes caged rats to develop eccentric or even violent mannerisms when they press a bar for sustenance on an aperiodic reinforcement schedule (one where food is delivered at random, but the rat doesn’t suspect). Much of the weird behavior school kids display is a function of the aperiodic reinforcement schedule. And the endless confinement and inactivity to slowly drive children out of their minds. Trapped children, like trapped rats, need close management. Any rat psychologist will tell you that.Footnotes:Self-Ownership in The Ethics of LibertyHomeschooling international status and statistics - WikipediaElections in Sweden - WikipediaHector Quintanilla's answer to What are some hard questions to ask your teacher?K-12 EducationPostsecondary SuccessThe Underground History of American Education: A School Teacher's Intimate Investigation Into the Problem of Modern Schooling : John Taylor Gatto : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet ArchiveUS Government Education Spending History with ChartsCredential:I have a bit of experience both in and outside of the school system. I was homeschooled, but took some classes along with my peers in primary and secondary school. I attended college as an 11-year-old, and graduated at the age of 16 with degrees in Chemistry and Biology. I have been involved in helping others get an education and pursue their dreams since 2008. I will be opening a school for people who want a developmentally-appropriate education as soon as I work out proper financing.
