PDF Editor FAQ

When and why did you decide to leave the Catholic church?

I was poorly catechized, and believed lies that I was told by protestants and atheists about the Catholic Church, like Mary worship, that it teaches works salvation, the eucharist is just a symbol, the church “added stuff,” including added books to the Bible. I had an actual healing encounter with Jesus, I won’t go into detail, sought to find Him again, to feel His presence again like I did the night He saved my life after a prayer. I found that I feel His presence, to my dismay, in the Catholic Mass, where I become very emotional. I began to read, wanting to know, did He start a church and did it still exist? If so, I want to be there. Is the Catholic Church what it claims to be? I read writings by early Christians, the early Church Fathers, was astonished to learn that Christians had very Catholic beliefs, very early on, that actual students of the apostles believed in infant baptism, and confession, and that the Catholic Church had given us the Bible. That it was a “family album” of sorts of the church, which, guided by the Holy Spirit, decided which books were inspired. And that later “reformers” removed books and added doctrines such as “Bible only” no one believed for the first 1500 years of Christianity, and that you must read the Bible in its entirety to understand, not cherry pick. I really hadn’t known that the Catholic Church was the first church, and that Jesus is really in the eucharist, as He said He would be in John 6, even though I had gone to Catholic school! Anyway, I am back.EDIT: Thank you all for the up votes. :)

Are there any external features in a church or mosque building which will indicate that the church is a Catholic church or a Protestant church or a Shia mosque or a Sunni mosque? If so what are they?

Mosques cannot be distinguished from the outside as Sunni or Shia by any architectural features. The best indicators you may find are the names of the mosques. Anything named with “Hussain” or “Ali” will most likely be a Shia mosque.Catholic churches tend to be ornate, whereas Protestant churches tend to be bare. Catholics have cathedrals, architecturally beautiful buildings, whereas Protestant, and other related sect, churches tend to be smaller, plainer sights. Names also give away churches away. Anything with “st.” or “saint” or “trinity” or “holy family” or “Mary” or anything in latin will be a Catholic church.Catholic architecture:Protestant “architecture:”

What attracts some Protestants to convert to the Roman Catholic Church?

I am Pentecostal. I was Catholic until I was in my early twenties and then I joined a Pentecostal church. I have attended Pentecostal Churches ever since. The thing is, I understand why some Protestants become Catholic. The Catholic Church has a high degree of authenticity. That is very attractive. The Catholic Church is strong and sincere with its doctrine. Few churches are as vocal about pro-life and contraception.I wish other churches would follow suit. The Catholic Church is supportive of the family. Divorce is not an option.I wish that other churches would take a stronger stance on this.Daily mass is a pure delight. I actually miss doing that. It's an amazing feeling to have Christ as physically present in The Eucharist. Entering a Catholic church feels sacred.Catholic churches also have a strong emphasis on visual beauty, such as candles and sacred images.Marriage as a sacrament reminds us of how we connect together in God's big plan.Holy Orders are such a blessing to the world. I wish more churches did that too.Although I am content with living as a Pentecostal, I can see why some folk wish to pursue Catholicism.I don't agree with all of its doctrines but the Catholic Church has many things that I really love.

For the price Filmora is hands down the best editing software out there. It looks basic on first glances but can be used for more complicated edits. I am just waiting for motion tracking.
