What if a class has 100 students ? The class teacher will remember some name , will have some favorites, will know the faces of some , will confuse the names of some and finally will have some students whose names though how hard she tries , unfortunately she will not remember. And what if it has hundreds of culture , language , different identities ? Also the task becomes tougher when you are the research lab of foods . The innovation hub of tastes. There are bound to go some unfortunate cousins unnoticed.MandigeA sweet tradition of Belgaum. One special dish made during ganesh Puja , this sweet dish is largely unknown( though I am kind of debating in my mind whether I have seen it or not ? but surely the name is new to me ) outside Karnataka.Kanchipuram IdliAs an indian it is 100% sure you must have heard about Idli .But what about it’s punk spicy hot cousin ? What advice would you give to someone who is moving to Amravati, Maharashtra, India?

Amravati. The city which gave India her first Minister of Agriculture and first women President, Punjabrao Deshmukh and Pratibha Patil. Before some advice, I will like to give a brief introduction of the city. The city is a classic example of a not so huge and a not so small city. I would categorize everything hereAccommodation:There are a lot of hotels, lodges and motels in the city. The best being the Grand Mehfil and Gouri Inn and Rangoli Pearl. There's one recognized and good hostel which goes by the name “Jain Hostel” located in the heart of the city just alongside the bus depot.Flats or rooms are also available at extremely cheap rates ranging from Rs. 400 per month to 10,000 a month.FoodI have personally seen outsiders saying that Amravati offers one of the best food in the state. It has sambharwadi, gillawada, sukha, kanjiwada, and a range of other popular, unique and tasty breakfast options. Yes, the city does not have international food franchises like Pizza Hut, or KFC but it does have CCD, Domino's Pizza and an upcoming McDonald's franchise coming up in the city. Local restaurants are ample and offer good food. You could have food for Rs. 150 to Rs. 400 per head in a restaurant and as cheap as Rs. 1800 for a month in a mess. Sanman mess is the best mess in the town and Spice Kitchen is the best restaurant in the town. Only one prominent bar in the city, viz., Spirits located in Grand Mehfil hotel. Also, motels and dhaba are plenty in number located in every corner of the city.TransportThe main railway station (Badnera) is a little shy over 10 kilometres away from the city and the other railway station is in the middle of the city. The railway station comes under the Howrah-Munbai route and almost all trains passing through that route stops at the station. Regular trains to Mumbai, Tirupati, Pune, Surat, Jabalpur and Delhi available.Buses flow to Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Surat, Nagpur every day several times. Government buses, private buses all available in ample.EducationManagement, Engineering, Medical, Arts. Primary, secondary and higher secondary schools. No worries about any of the above. Quality education all around.SportsAmravati hosts world famous HVPM which has all the sports arena in its campus. Table tennis, swimming, lawn tennis, squash, you name it and get it.Weather.Hot. Period. In a nutshell, if not the best, Amravati is a good city to live in. You won't have any problem. Cheers. :)
