I'm going anonymous because I'm a serving officer with Govt Of India. I'm currently in-charge of a specific trade for the entire south zone which, is the main reason for me going anonymous.Coming to your question, after passing upsc mains in 2008 and after undergoing various training, I joined the Govt on special requirements towards the end of 2009. I have been promoted once. I believe that salaries of all govt officers occupying various positions is very much an open secret. Nothing to hide in what Govt pays.With almost 8 years in the Govt, one promotion, I get Rs. 81320 in hand. This, after I pay my taxes, my pf contribution, cut HRA because I live in Govt accommodation and also a few small cuttings which vary.Apart from this, my travel is always Govt paid. Flights and Trains both. I get free medicals. A fully furnished Govt accommodation for living. A govt car to pick me up from home and drop me to office. Which, btw is a 7 mins drive. :DI dnt claim reimbursement for my mobile bill even though I'm allowed to. I dnt claim reimbursement for my kid’s tuition fees. I dnt claim reimbursement for relocation when I'm transferred.Have a good day ahead !!!

As a doctor it is my duty to provide the best possible care to a patient whether I like or dislike the patient. But the following types of patients get on my nerves.Patients who lie. I have seen patients who lie about their past illness, treatment, addictions and other history relevant to their diagnosis and treatment. Patients do have reasons to hide information from a doctor but sometimes such information can drastically change the management and can even make a difference between life and death.Patients who change their treatment on their volition without consulting their doctors. This includes omitting medications or not adhering to the advised schedule of treatment or starting a new treatment. Many a times doctors are confused as to why a treatment is not working and the reason sometimes is that the patient is not following your advice. I have seen many patients with curable cancers dying because they didn't follow the treatment advice. It is also common with diabetics and hypertensive who stop their treatments abruptly.Patients who do doctor shopping. These patients usually end up delaying their treatment and get confused by the opinions they get. Getting a second opinion is different from doctor shopping. Patients should be encouraged to get a second opinion but discouraged from hopping from one doctor to another.Patients who don't have patience. That is they break the queue and want to be seen ahead of others. They throw a tantrum if they are not seen on a priority. They would extend the routine 15 minutes consultation for 1 hour but would get angry if not seen immediately on arrival. They also throw names and get recommendations from influential people to be seen on priority.Abusive and violent patients. They can be a nightmare to manage. Healthcare professionals dread treating them. Some of them constantly give threats of suing you or going to media.Patients who try to milk the system. They want false bills to be signed to claim reimbursement or want false certificates for leaves or medico legal problems.Patients who don't keep their surroundings clean. They expect hospitals to be clean but spit, litter and sometimes even pass urine in open spaces with impunity.Patients who record the conversation with their doctor on the sly.Patients who gossip and influence other patients in the hospital to abandon treatment.Patients who continue to smoke, drink and lead unhealthy lifestyles despite multiple warnings not to do so.Patients who trouble you by calling you on your personal number for trivial reasons at odd hours. Everything on paper is rosy rosy !!But…once your are out of the hospital and start your claim reimbursement process REAL SHOW begins………They are running SCAM in name of Health Insurance Policies.They take your money in name of protecting your family n other bullshit nonsenses and when its time to reimbursement they will come up with all the clauses.Mine is very bad experience !!I would suggest dont go for Star Insurance .
