How do I deal with rude flight attendants?

In the past, I have worked as a flight attendant for three different airlines. I understand the stresses and demanding lifestyle of working in the aviation industry. However, I also understand the importance of treating every passenger respectfully like I am interacting with my grandmother. To me, the passenger is the reason I am able to have an amazing job with the greatest travel benefits in the world. However, as a paying customer, I have had rude flight attendants. If I believe it's just their normal way of interacting or they're having a horrible day, I simply ignore the behavior. I naturally smile at them and make sure I am pleasant and respectful. If they provide a beverage and snack service, I make sure I say please and thank you when receiving my items. I say thanks when they pick up my trash. I thank them with a smile when exiting the aircraft. However, I returned from Beijing to the USA on a Delta flight. The flight attendant clearly hated every passenger on the flight. She left me feeling sick to my stomach over her curt and extremely negative interaction. I went and found the lead flight attendant. I told her how the flight attendant talked to me and how it made me feel. The lead flight attendant let me know that this flight attendant's behavior had been reported to her multiple times. Now she had enough information to confront her. I never said a word to the other flight attendant about the situation.I believe the worst thing to do is confront the flight attendant. This can be seen as confrontational and aggressive. Some flight attendants can feel threatened and escalate the situation to possibly having the plane met by law enforcement or diverted. The best thing to do is get the name and airline employee badge number of the flight attendant. If they won't give it to you, wait until the end of the flight and speak to the captain. Calmly let them know the situation and ask for a customer service agent (preferably a supervisor) to meet the aircraft. Let them know the issue and see if it can be resolved. If not, take down names and contact corporate.Airlines are in business to provide a service. They aim to provide excellent customer care and satisfaction. We were taught in flight attendant training to always respect the passenger. No exceptions. I'm sorry you had this experience, but resolution will happen if you keep calm and relaxed knowing that you've been an upstanding passenger.

Is it true that during the 1971 war, Pakistan captured our 54 soldiers which were not released even after releasing over 90k Pak soldiers by India?

Yes.During the 1971 war, the Pakistani army in the now Bangladesh, under the command of Lt Gen AAK Niazi, surrendered on 16th Dec, 1971, in what is now an iconic image. There is also a minute long video. The “instrument of surrender” is on display in the National Museum, New Delhi.India released the 90,000+ PoWs in exchange for recognition of Bangladesh as an independent sovereign nation. It took 3 years, and the Simla and Delhi Agreements for things to happen. However, the then government was insipid enough to not demand the release of the 54 Indian PoWs in exchange for half of Pakistan’s army. The list of names was tabled in the LS in 1979.[1]In 1971, Indira Gandhi released 93,000 pakistani soldiers without taking back 54 indian soldiers under Pakistan custody. No one knows what happened to them, whether they are alive or not.Congress diplomacy at it's best. pic.twitter.com/L3tpPM9f20— Comrade Squinty (@squintneon) March 1, 2019Pakistan has time and again denied the very existence of these PoWs, but there is mounting proof that they lingered and suffered in Pakistani jails for decades. In 1972, Time Magazine had published a photo a man behind bars in Pakistan, and the family of one of the Indian POW had immediately recognised him. In the same year, a local Pakistani paper had published another photo an infantry officer kept in a Pakistani jail.In the biography of Benazir Bhutto, British historian Victoria Schoffield wrote that a Pakistani lawyer had been told that Indian prisoners of war “from the 1971 conflict” were kept in Kot Lakhpat prison in Lahore. They could be heard screaming from behind a wall, according to an eyewitness account from within the prison. The Pakistani media also had reported the capture of the prisoners during the war. On 13th December 1971, the MiG-21 of Wing Commander Hersern Gill was shot down in Pakistan. The next day, a military spokesperson had claimed on radio that an ace Indian pilot had been captured. Gill’s plane was hit by ground fire, but he managed to glide down to a safe landing, after which he was captured. While Dhaka based English paper Sunday Observer had reported on 5th December 1971 that Pakistan had captured 5 pilots alive. An American General, Chuck Yeager also wrote in his autobiography that he had personally interviewed Indian pilots captured by the Pakistanis. Americans were particularly interested in Indian pilots, because, at the height of cold war, Indians had attended training in Russia and were flying Soviet Russian planes. In 2003, when a human rights group had gone to Kot Lakhpat Jail near Lahore to meet Sarabjit Singh lodged there, they had found that 11 prisoners from the 54 POWs were present there. They had also heard the prisoners shouting that they were the prisoners captured by Pakistan in 1971 war. The group had learned other prisoners were in some other jails and many of them had died.Few Indians who had spent time in Pakistani jails under spying and other charges have also claimed to have met POWs from 1971 in various prisons. It has to be one of the gravest military/strategic blunders by a war-winning nation.Footnotes[1] India's missing 54: The 54 'Abhinandans' who never came home from Pakistan

I like the fact that it allows me to create pdfs when I need to, something I'd have to pay a lot more for using Adobe systems.
