It does nothing to prevent auto fatalities. And, it isn’t as useful for tracking criminals as many people seem to think. If car registration was so good at tracking criminals then why did it take so long to catch the DC Snipers? Their vehicle was registered.Driver’s licenses are ostensibly meant to show that someone is properly trained to drive a car safely, but have you looked at the car accident rate in this country lately? Clearly that training is insufficient at best, and useless at worst. Who’s to say that our roads wouldn’t be just as safe if we no longer required drivers to be licensed?

But his life seemed so full of woe I decided not to add to it.
