Because in my last life I must have been an evil person who with held medical care from people in need. I have kidney diseasr and with that comes the gift of kidney stones. When I was living in Las Vegas for 9years I noticed (painfully) that I was having kidney stone attacks every 3–4 months. Mine are uric acid not calcium like most (of course mine would be different). After a few years of this I discussed it with my Nephrologist and she suggested only drinking filtered water. We got new filters for the fridge and changed them as needed and it got some better. We ended upoving back to Portland when my kidneys started getting super close to failing because having been through transplant with my Mommo I realized there was no way I was doing that in Las Vegas.We drank tap water here because the water is so much better than in Vegas. Within 3 months I was off to OHSU with my whole medical record in a file for them. Once kidney stones started again weoptes to get delivered water. $40o is well worth it to have kidney stones every couple of years instead of 4x /year..

No facts are alleged to suggest that the parents were negligent in any way.The parents of the friend wrapped the leg in a cold, wet towel (which is what I typically do if I have an accident with a small quantity of boiling water), and didn’t think much of it apparently. The OP, upon picking the child up, panicked and took her to the ER, where she was told that it was a minor second-degree burn, requiring only an ordinary dressing and some ointment, and was sent home. This isn’t.]Due to the incredible fame and clout* of one Rex Burkholder, the brother or possibly friend of the defendant parent, there was a statewide and perhaps even nationwide conspiracy to protect the defendant parents from justice, including hospitals falsifying records, police refusing to file reports, and judges being bought off.*[For those who aren’t clicking the link above, Mr. Burkholder is apparently a reasonably prominent citizen in Portland with fairly minor activist credentials in the rest of Oregon… not exactly a shot-caller, string-puller, and kingmaker.]The accidental scalding was somehow supposed to trigger a criminal trial, and therefore the fact that the lawsuit was heard in civil court is proof that the defendant parents were shielded from justice by a “fake trial”.All of this has… something to do with racial discrimination.All of this is somehow also connected to her husband’s wrongful termination suit against Nike (hence the inclusion of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the laundry list of defendants).I could keep going, but I think the point is made.Regardless, a criminal investigation using governmental resources is not, here or ever, a part of your due process rights (no, not even as a criminal defendant, on a technicality I won’t elaborate on here).As the civil plaintiff, your only due process right is to have the case handled according to the existing rules of civil procedure (which it was).As an alleged crime victim, you have no due process rights at all—due process is a safeguard against the use of government power against you, not a means of compelling the government to exercise its power on your behalf.Oh, and by the way, you’ve got what? A half dozen or so? Let’s say a half dozen judges… listed as defendants.You can’t sue a judge for his rulings on the bench.
