Originally answered to " Do you earn more being self employed".I worked as an employee for 12 years and have been self employed for the last 2 years.The answer is No & YesI used to work an average of 10–12 hours a day, abide to the rules and regulations / terms and conditions of the organization, take only leaves that are entitled and get paid only that was designated etc etc.Now, I work from home, I work at an average of 4 hours a day, I spend quality time with my family, pets, travel when ever I want, do the kind of work I enjoy doing, play with my kid, drop and pick her from school, sometimes cook, no work on Saturdays and Sundays, write on Quora and so on…………!Being self employed is in no way comparison to being an employee.But remember NOT to get lazy (when working from home). Be well disciplined and be sincere.By God’s Amazing Grace, I lack nothing today. :-)

They too generate employment but the remuneration for their employees is considerably less.In case of Self employed person, when they die, their decedents may not be able to carry on the same job that they did.The most common thing is that both the business man and self employed, generate employment and are owner of their own time to a great extent as compared to regular employees.An actor, musician, singer, CA, Lawyer, CS, Business Consultant, Doctor, etc… are all self employed in many cases.Examples of business persons are everywhere outside one’s home.

Your value in the machine is 100000 dollars a year, and your value on the street is 10 cents.When you are an employee, you are a passenger on the cruise ship.
