After giving PLAB and getting your CREST form signed from a consultant, you apply for GP training post AKA GP ST1 ( you need to have post internship experience of 1 year as well which is similar to FY2). If you are ONLY MBBS, then you can't really get successful comparision from RCGP for equivalence certificate.As for the training, It takes 3 years to become a GP. You have to give MRCGP exam at the end of this( Consist of 2 parts) to get a Certificate of Completion of Training ( CCT) to be eligible to work as a GP in UK. Sometimes GP train for an year longer to get more certifications and extended role in some specific fields but that is not a necessary requirement.As for salary- ( GROSS SALARY/PRE TAX) / AnnumFor training positions and salaried GP, these salaries are based upon standard 40hr week with no unsocial hours or weekends.
