Exercise played a major role in my life. I was completely changed from a morbidly obese to a fit guy. I looked so older than what i actually was. Some often called me uncle.This was me before i started exercising.Weight-105kgs.Gradually things started changing i lost 7 kgs within a month.But journey had just begun.After 2 months i looked like this.After months of hard work and consistency i was able to achieve the form that i dreamt of. Why my exercise is not affecting me if am doing exercise on daily basis?

How do I motivate myself to exercise?

2015: I still remember the first time I went to the gym…Just an average guy and having seen many physically fit people online, I wanted to be like them and I joined the bandwagon.“That’s it, now my life will change!”, or so I thought at the time.I quit. Within one month.Reason? It got monotonous and it was more pain than pleasure, I saw no return on my investment and I gave up.My Motivation: “Gym craze” which failed terribly.A year passes, 2016:joined gym for the second time as I had put on a little weight and someone had told me,“gym laga le bhai, Sab thik ho jayega” (join a gym bro, everything will be sorted).I quit, yet again.This time it lasted two months.My motivation: “losing weight” did not help me out here. It was too temporary.But then comes 2017-It was July, I had gained weight like crazy, hitting a century on the weight scale.I walked into a clothing store and I wanted to purchase a new shirt for myself. They gave me the biggest size they had - a XXL and I went to the trial room to try it on. In there while buttoning it up, I had to stop at the abdomen area as I realised I was too fat for that shirt. I tried in vain to button it up but to no avail.That moment when I looked at myself in the mirror, I found a sad fat guy staring back at meThat was it. I snapped.“Never again”, I decided then and there.Once again I joined the gym with that specific goal in mind.My motivation this time - “The need to change for the better” and the rest is history.It has been 3 years and counting and I have never looked back since!Motivation has many forms… wanting to become like your idol, impressing someone, preparing for an occasion, breakup, etc. but when you are your own inspiration and are not dependent on anything else, then my friend you are in for the long haul.
