Liberals, true liberals, those who love, support, and defend liberty (such as myself) aren’t opposed to individual freedom including the right to keep and bear arms. That is the purview of the progressive Left who seek to replace individual liberty with state control. Your confusion arises from the fact that the Left has appropriated the label “Liberal” to hide their true identity (Socialist/Communist/Fascist). The seek to ban individual arms as a precursor to banning all other individual rights.
