There is an issue in other answers that needs to be cleared up and clarified: There is no queue for refugees (sometimes called illegal migrants) so you cannot jump a queue.I was an independent migrant to Australia and it took 18 months for my application to be processed. It was a very civilised process; I rocked up to the Australian High Commission in Singapore, asked for forms, filled it in, gathered the required supporting documents and had them notarised, brought it back to the high commission, paid the fee and filed my application.There was some to-ing and fro-ing with checking my qualifications and work experience that took time but the approval came through subject to a medical and police clearance. Again, this was easy, I was provided a list of doctors and I put in an application to the police force for a clearance certificate.When all was clear, I and my family packed our belongings into a container, sent it off to Australia and we bought air tickets and flew into our new home.If I had been in a war-torn country (thanks America and its allies, Australia included), with rockets, bombs and bullets flying about, civic buildings and government infrastructure and services destroyed, where would I have gone to do all that?My life and that of my family would have been in imminent and immediate danger and you want me to find and join a non-existent queue?I accept that there are economic migrants; these are not rich enough to buy themselves permanent residence (it may surprise many Australians to know that it is possible to buy your way into. And we so need more people like that right?)If people could join and orderly queue they wouldn’t risk their lives and savings on people smugglers, get into leaky boats, and take their chances on a big ocean journey.It is a difficult issue but that is what our well-paid politicians are there to solve. Not use immigration and refugees as political footballs to garner votes and stay in power.But I have a solution if this is all too hard; Australia can simply abrogate its obligations under UN human rights agreements and the convention on refugees.We can then join, I think it is North Korea and Cuba, as a country that is not required to accept, process or generally deal with this thorny problem.Or we could kick out all migrants. The original owners of the land might like that. :)

The day India wins multiple gold medals in the Olympics will convince me than India can win the football World Cup.India have never represented Asia in a FIFA World Cup, and have failed to progress beyond the group phase during their last two appearances in the AFC Asian Cup. That’s the harsh reality.The FIFA U-17 WC will be held in India next year. That should be considered as the stepping stone to kick start India’s quest to become a rich and competitive footballing nation. It will provide the impetus for the rebuilding process. If it turns out to be success, it will greatly boost the general consciousness about football as a sport other than cricket. Star Sports and Sony are doing quite good in popularising football in India.BTW, sports as a profession in India is still a long way off from the minds of parents from middle class families. They want to make sure their wards get their futures secured by getting good education and jobs. In a way they are right.Another thing that puts off interested parties is the politics and corruption prevalent in India.One of my school juniors was quite good at cricket, and his father, being a P.E. teacher, was very supportive of him in his quest for making his dream come true from the very beginning. He left studies after class 10th to pursue state level cricket. He played well at the district level. State level (Odisha Cricket Association) beckoned. That’s where things got ugly. Two boys (my junior and another guy) represented our zone at Cuttack. But despite playing well and being better than some Cuttack zone boys, the president had to select only one of the two guys from our zone, thanks to vote bank politics. The guy never got his chance despite his superior merit. Frustrated by the lack of chances, he went to Bengal Cricket to try his luck. He practised there for 1–2 years. But, he wasn’t to succeed. They (Bengal Authorities) advised him to move to Hyderabad Cricket. It had great coaches and fine infrastructure, but breaking through proved difficult for him. He bowled impressive spells which garnered him mentions in local newspapers (he has kept newspaper cuttings as proofs). Now, to represent Hyderabad he needed clearance certificate from OCA, but they denied him that. Poor fellow was stuck. However, he had another way: bribery. But the sum of money needed was too much. He had nowhere to go. If only his own state had allowed him on his merit, he could have given his best at state levels, and may be got into Ranji matches.Now back to his home town, he is preparing for bank PO posts. All dreams down the drain. Whether he was good enough or not isn’t the case here. Fair play or the lack of it certainly is.Here is a stat. WC 1994 was supposed to propel US to the standards of the Europeans and South Americans. They are now a regular in the WC Finals. They can lay claim to being a relevant name in the football world, but are still an also-ran in the grand scheme of things. More than 20 years it took for a country with a rich sporting culture to establish soccer. Of course, the presence of more popular sports like American football, basketball and baseball did hinder its emergence. That’s only natural.Cricket has a stronghold in India like no other sport in any other country. And the T20 format is making it even more difficult for any other sports. So, realising the WC dream will take at least 15-20 years for India. It requires sincere efforts from the authorities and the consciousness of the mass to make football relevant in India.Messi isn’t able to win the World Cup, and you're talking about India winning it! As a Part 107 certificate holder, I’m not required to use a radio when I’m in Class G airspace.I own a handheld aviation radio, so I can monitor frequencies, but I would need a FCC station license to respond, unless it were an emergency.If I want to fly in Class B, C, or D airspace, there are two different ways to get clearance for that airspace. One is to use LAANC, an electronic system that allows for instant clearance in areas where local ATC facilities have predetermined safe altitudes for immediate clearance. The second is through a manual review process with the FAA.In either case, I’m providing a phone number for the FAA, or relevant ATC to reach me in case they need me to land for some reason.The different stakeholders in the US drone world seem to be moving towards an electronic id system for law enforcement and airports to use to protect sensitive areas. For example, law enforcement could use an Aeroscope system at a NFL venue to immediately determine serial number, registration number, and receive other information from any drone that operates near a football game.
