Missouri Icpc: Fill & Download for Free

Thanks to A2A.I am living in Missouri for 3 years in a very small college town. So my answer will be based on 3 years of experience on small college town. This is just my view.Students do not think outside the box : Most of my friends already had job during their freshman and sophomore year. They never thought they could, go to Google or Facebook (I am not saying they are the only good companies ). But I am saying that we should always aim high.Low Attendance on Computer Science Events : There were couple computer science organizations. ACM use to host a lot of events. But the attendance was very low. I always use to get confused. A college which had more than 500 computer science major (undergraduate + graduate) could not even have 50 students attending on all the events. (Few events had more than 50 ; Just few !!!).Lack of Internal Competitions : There was never(very few if any) internal contests like programming contest, or any development contest internally. There was a place to learn but never a place to compete. Students who knew about TopCoder, HackerRank and SPOJ competed there. But there was no internal competitionLack of knowledge and passion: Students are very unaware about contests like ACM ICPC and other Hackathons. They do not have great mentors to guide them for the competition neither great resources to practice.ACM ICPC 2015 (Mid-Central) : Location : University of Central MissouriThe first team at that location was able to solve only 3 problems out of 8/9 problems. Which is very low compared to the students from other location.Low quality Syllabus: I think the syllabus is designed in such a way that more number of students will pass and the class. It is not quite challenging nor has a lot of real life projects. Even if students are given projects, they are not guided well. Students learn a lot but there are fewer places where they will get practices of implementations.Lack of internal internship or jobs related to computer science: The more students apply, the more they will learn. If they have jobs or internships locally related to computer science they will learn a lot. It's always better to work as a Software Intern while you are learning Computer Science that working a dining. (*I am not saying working at dining is bad. I am just saying working as a software Intern for computer science students is better).Things have been changing recently. But to make great Computer Scientists, it's always better to give them better environment and challenge them all the time.

CSE department at IIT Patna is one of the best in 2008 2nd gen IITs after IIT Hyderabad and is comparable to IIT Indore (Indore is great too). The opening rank in the year 2018 was 999 which tells about diversity of the branch and also how much this department has improved over the years. CSE at IIT Patna is growing at rapid pace and will continue to do so.Some highlights:1. Our college team ButterRoti qualifed for ICPC World Finals twice in a row which is unheard for other 2008 2nd gen IITs (except Indore) and many old IITs. Only max 8 teams qualify from country in a year. ICPC is regarded as Olympics of Coding and you can Google more about it.2. This year again we had GSoC selections from first year too, which tells how good development culture at IIT Patna is. There have been more than 25 GsoC selections in last 3 years. We had 14 selections in 2018 itself (4 were just first years who had just started coding after coming to college). We became the 8th best university worldwide, above all new IITs and many old IITs. The computer science club NJACK is responsible for coding and other related activities which is very active and quite helpful. It has competitive coding department, Developement department, Linux distro department and Cyber Security Department.4. This year Google Developer Students Club was formed in the college with support from Google itself. It is a project oriented club having web development, mobile development, Machine Learning, Blockchain and cryptocurrency and Internet of Things like drones and robotics department.5. Codechef Chapter in our college is responsible for competitive coding related activities.6. Furthermore, IIT Patna is ranked better than IIT Mandi, Dhanbad & Ropar on Codeforces (Organization wise) which tells how well the coding culture is. The competitive coding culture is lit here.7. IIT Patna too has collaborations with various foreign universities, the list of which you can find on IIT Patna website. We have professors from top universities across the world visiting us. IIT Patna has collaborated with many foreign universities like Kyoto University (Japan), National University of Singapore (NUS), University of Houston, Texas (USA), Louisiana State University (USA), University of Hartford, Connecticut (USA), University of Missouri, Columbia (USA), University of New South Wales (Australia), University of North Texas, Denton (USA) and University of Saskatchewan (Canada).8. We were ranked 2nd in Robocon stage I and qualified for nationals beating most other old IITs. This was the same event in which IIT Kanpur was 8th, IIT Bombay was 10th, IIT Delhi was 18th, IIT Roorkee was 22nd and most other IITs didn’t qualify. Even in Robocon stage 2 we are ahead of IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur etc.10. We were ranked 7th in Inter IIT Tech Meet held at IIT Madras among all IITs which is a really nice position for a 2008 2nd gen IITs.11. We were at a way better rank in SUPRA SAEIndia 2k18, ahead of IIT Guwahati, IIT Mandi, and other top NITs.12. The clubs , activities here try to develop themseleves every time so as to be ahead of the other IITs in all aspects. Our cooperation is what makes us successfulAs for the alumni base, yes, its going to take some time to establish alumni base here , but not all the things depend upon it.We have plenty of workshops that the Entrepreneurship cell of our college conducts inviting very famous speakers from all over the India.The first 5-G conference of the India was conducted in IIT Patna, which in itself is a great achievement. In just 9 years, we got ahead of many other 2008 IITs and are just behind IIT Hyderabad and comparable to IIT Indore, then just think for yourself.5G in focus at IIT's international summitThere’s much more. I feel you should consider IIT Patna a worthy choice. And also check for similar stats for other colleges too.Among new IITs, IIT Hyd, IIT Indore and IIT Patna have come a long way in CSE branch.
