Show me evidence of horses existing in Central America during the time period which the Book of Mormon purports to date from, and I will give credence to the notion that it might contain some truth in it.However, since there is no evidence of horses in Central America from the late Pleistocene until the coming of Spanish colonization in the 16th century, I can only conclude that the Book of Mormon and the events it relates never actually happened, since it contains dozens of references to horses in a time and place where there is no evidence of their existence.

Few years back I was travelling in a train. A young man was sitting in my front seat and reading a book.I could see the cover of the book.It was a novel written by ‘Yandamoori Veerendranath’, a popular Telugu writer.That was his latest release and I had not read it.Name of the book was డేగ రెక్కల చప్పుడు [Dega Rekkala Chappudu] which means the sound of eagle’s wings.The man finished reading the book and kept it beside him.“Can I see the book?” I asked.“Sure” saying this he handed me the book.Initially my intention was just to borrow the book, read the preface and return the book.But after reading the preface I couldn’t stop.I just started reading the novel.I was so immersed in the novel that I did not notice when he got down from the train.Only after finishing the book, I noticed that he was not sitting there. On inquiring with others, I was told that he already got down half an hour back.He might have forgotten the book or purposefully might not have asked me.I felt guilty.As I was about to toss it beside me, I noticed a cell number on the back cover.I immediately called that number. Somebody answered.“I have a book belonging to somebody who was travelling in Konark express. This number is written on back of the book”“My nephew just arrived here. It might be his. I will give him the phone”The man in the train took the phone.“I am sorry I was so immersed in the book that I did not notice you getting down.”“I saw how deeply you were immersed in the book. I did not feel like asking you for the book.”“Tell me your postal address. I will post it.”“No, Aunty, take it as my gift. I am usually not bothered about the books once I have finished reading them. Don’t bother.”Saying this he hung up the phone.A gift from an unknown person!

I have read this book and I have liked it.This book falls in the category of self-help book, but in a different way.Most authors talk about thinking positive all the time and doing nice things with everyone to succeed in life.However, the reality is different than what is taught in most self-help books as we see most people succeeding in life without being nice and positive.This book uses lots of cuss words which is again opposite to the writing style of most writers.I appreciate the writer to show courage to speak the truth as he experienced in his life rather than what the experts keep repeating in every book.I would recommend reading this book to everyone who is interested in truth and reality of the world and the people rather than infatuated with the ideals that they have learned during their childhood and still unable to get out of them.It is wise to understand the world and people as they are rather than as they should be.Truth may be bitter, but only truth can set you free.Source of picture: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck - Wikipedia
