Who is the most underrated goalkeeper in football (soccer) at the moment?

Willy CaballeroSurprised?Willy Caballero, Malaga keeper, was the best keeper in La Liga in the 2012-13 season. He was instrumental in helping his team reach the quarter finals of the Champions League. Caballero conceded 1.24 goals per game last season and this feat was only beaten by a few other keepers in La Liga. He also managed to keep 14 clean sheets last season out of 42 appearances, that’s a clean sheet every 3 games. It’s surprising Caballero hasn’t been capped yet by Argentina. He possesses the unbeaten record of Malaga CF not conceding a goal in 479 minutes of First Division action, which contributed to the team for qualifying in the champions league in 2011-12.2012-13 Zamora Trophy standings-2013-14 la liga standings (below 5)-Just check the last third column, it is of Goals Against, and as you can see, only 2 teams have conceded less goals than Malaga, which are Levante, and Villareal. And I can assure you, that they have a good defence lineup as compared to Malaga's defence. The sole reason for Malaga conceding so less goals is Willy Caballero.A must watch video -And if you have some spare time, you can watch this also.EDIT: Thank you User, I would like to add those two points in my answer. :)1) Caballero played for Argentina in under 20 level and helped his nation win the FIFA world youth championship.2) Goal.com named him as the best player in his position for the campaign 2012-13.

What once reliable brand of automobile has lost its reputation of good quality?

Over the last 60 years or so, quite a few manufacturers have had their ups and downs, but 1 seems to stick out in my mind. I grew up with Chryslers in the driveway, had a Plymouth Horizon as my first car, and inherited my Dad’s old Dodge pickup.Chrysler, which until the late 60’s was the car to beat for good design and engineering. First with disk brakes, torsion bar suspension, alternators, radial tires on some models, solid engines and transmissions and so on for the time. Even the paint jobs held up better, a lot of Ford and GM cars of the late 60’s through the 70’s used so little paint and primer that rust formed under the paint within a few years. With a good reputation came success, but Chrysler got sloppy with their quality control, and many cars went out the door with substandard parts in order to meet the demand. and this quickly became a problem for the owners of these lemons, but as with the rest of the big 3, they cruised along, obsessed with short term profits, and giving out fat union contracts to keep the lines moving. The Big 3’s complacency all came to a halt in 1973 with the energy crisis and 55 mph speed limit. Chrysler was particularly vulnerable because they lacked anything in the subcompact category when fuel economy became front and center. The smallest car they had that was domestically produced was the Plymouth Valiant/Dodge Dart, which were hardly small cars. Performance cars such as the Barracuda and Challenger dropped by the wayside. The Dart/Valiant was a solid car, but by 1974 the design was seriously dated. A rework of the platform became the basis for the disastrous Aspen/Volare twins that became notorious for being rust buckets and poor performance, choked by poorly tested emission controls. Their larger cousins fared even worse, they were forced to drop their biggest engines due to emissions problems, and the 360 didn’t have enough grunt to move a full size New Yorker out of its own way. By the 1979, they were on the verge of bankruptcyBy 1978 Chrysler finally had a 4 cylinder subcompact, the Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon, beating Ford and GM by 2 years, sorta. It used a 1.7 liter VW Rabbit engine for the first few years, before the 2.2 was ready. It was a car with a lot of potential, but hurried up and parts bin engineering doomed the car to mediocrity. I had one as my first car, and I always carried tools with me, out of necessity. Most of the problems were stupid stuff, cracked brackets, sloppily run wiring, and exterior parts that fell off for no apparent reason. The K car was much the same, but the basic platform became the basis for almost all new models until the 1990’s.Chrysler became solvent again, thanks to the leadership of Lee Iacocca, fleet purchases and the success of the minivan, which was built on the K car platform. Despite poor performance from the anemic engines of the era, the minivan was was a hit with families with plenty of room, good visibility, and the ability to fit into a standard garage. Unlike the traditional full size station wagon, the minivan also got decent gas mileage. Chrysler was never able to fully shake its reputation for poor quality and making stodgy vehicles for grandmothers and soccer moms.As the 1980’s turned into the 1990s, the industry changed again, and Chrysler needed a major image makeover. AMC owned the Jeep brand, and after a disastrous partnership with Renault, it became part of Chrysler, bringing the Jeep brand with it. As the SUV craze was heating up, the Jeep brand became key to their continuing success. The Dodge Truck division was on its way to oblivion, but it got a major shot in the arm when it entered into a partnership with Cummins Diesel to provide engines for their 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. They were a hit, and in 1993 Dodge unveiled its next generation of trucks, which were very well received.Their car division in the 90’s updated the K platform and brought out some attractive models, but by that time Honda, Toyota, and Nissan were ruling the compact and midsize sedan market, and making were making inroads into the minivan and SUV markets as well. The truck and SUV was hot and they were very profitable. For the next decade or so things went along well, and once again, the big 3 became focused on short term profits and cost cutting. Chrysler had a couple of particularly embarrassing lapses. In the late 80’s, they decided to cut corners with some new clear coat painting technology, and after 5–10 years, paint would just start peeling off in sheets. Another problem was cracking plastic on dashboards of late 90’s and early 00’s trucks, along with vexing service problems, weak transmissions, blown headgaskets, and suspension problems on many models. Despite some flash from some new performance models, their reputation was still subpar. They teamed up with Daimler-Benz, but the result wasn’t good for either company, and they were sold off the Cerebus, a private equity firm when the divorce was final. In the late 2000’s, the day of reckoning came for all of the big 3. The overheated economy blew a gasket, while the bill came due for all of those generous pensions negotiated back in the 1970’s. Ford had to restructure its debt, but avoided bankruptcy. GM had to declare bankruptcy, and let the government bail them out. The rudderless Chrysler, without Lee Iacocca at the helm was forced into a shotgun marriage with FIAT, who left the North American market in 1983 after severe quality problems caught up with them. They wanted to try again and as before, their cars have a horrible reputation, so the perceived quality of Chrysler products hasn’t been helped much. Their trucks are still competitive, but besides the retro styled Challenger muscle cars, they really don’t have anything else in their lineup that is competitive or innovative. With looming technological changes in the industry, it is to be seen if the Chrysler name survives the switchover to electric and hybrid cars. There is some talk about bringing Renault and Peugeot into the mix to make a run at competing with the likes of VW, Tesla, Toyota, and Honda. Who is left standing is an open question at this point.
