This was in western New York.We drove to the local mall, and I dropped her off at the front door, then drove around back to the Sears Automotive Center. The Service manager told me to come back in an hour, and I gave him the keys, then I met my mother in law for lunch at one of the restaurants inside the mall.after lunch my mother in law went shopping, and I walked back through Sears to pick up the car. When I got there, I could see the car was still on the lift and all the tires were still on. The service manager said “the mechanic needs to talk to you.”I found the mechanic, and he walked me to the front of the car. He essentially told me that he saw the ball joints on the front of the car were in very bad shape, and he recommended replacing them immediately. He grabbed the top and bottom of the tire and wiggled it to show me how loose they were. I said “wow. That sounds expensive! Can we get the Service manager over here?” He looked at me quizzically, but went and came back with the service manager.I said “Fred here tells me that the tires haven’t been changed yet, because he has found a problem with the ball joints.” The service manager looked at him then said “okay, do you need me to schedule an appointment?” I said “no, I need you to explain to me why my mother in law’s car would need new ball joints when my brother in law put those ball joints on less than a month ago.”The service manager looked at me, then the mechanic, then me again, and walked with the mechanic to his office. Ten minutes later a different mechanic was changing all the tires, and I had a coupon in my pocket for four free oil changes, courtesy of the service manager.

I worked in a very “high class” area in Texas with many over the top women coming in for their morning fix. Around 6–7 we get the morning rush where the entire team is moving as fast as they can. While on drive thru I was handing this lady her coffee and breakfast sandwich and I could tell she wasn’t in the best mood, but I was on the clock so I had to continue delivering the best service possible. She drove off rapidly after I handed her the receipt. Less than 5 minutes later she came storming into the store cut the entire line of people to ask to speak to the manager. I was the Supervisor at the time so I stepped towards her asking what I can assist her with. Her response was to ask to speak to my manager, I complied (of course) and got my store manager to come handle the situation. She is now fuming at this point and starts screaming like a 3-year-old “that ugly bitch (pointing at me) threw my coffee on me and didn’t even give me my receipt ”. My manager then asked her to leave the store which she refused and he informed her that he would have to call the police if she remained non-compliant. She continued to ignore him. Once the police got there she stated that she wanted to press charges against me for aggravated assault. Also, her husband was a police officer so she knew her rights. They escorted her outside and came to me and my manager asking what the issue was, we explained and rolled back the video surveillance showing I did nothing even close to what she said had happened.To wrap up she was taken into custody for slander and a warrant. lol! she’s no longer allowed near that store or any other within a 20 mile radius.
