Tsk tsk!Let me ask you this: if you could only tell an employer one thing about yourself to get an interview, what would you say? That is, what do you think is the selling point of your resume? Hint: it's the name of one of the biggest companies in the world.So, why is this so hidden on your resume?You need to design your resume around what you want someone to read. Your resume is pretty, but not particularly functional.Here's what you need to do:Use bullets, not blobs of text. Employers only spend about 15 seconds per resume. I know nicely justified blobs of text look pretty, but they won't be read.Focus on your accomplishments, not responsibilities. You created beautiful designs for Microsoft? And you interacted with devs and PMs? No way! Really?? Of course you did that. You were a designer. That's your job. I've learned basically nothing about what you've done that your job title didn't already tell me. I want to know how you had an impact. Tell me what your accomplishments were.That Microsoft job? Everyone knows how to use powerpoint. Ditto for "iOS." I have no idea what "OS" means. Is that a designer thing? Or are you just saying you know how to use operating systems (um, duh)?Those "buttons" at the bottom of your resume are pretty and all... but they don't really make sense. Are the buttons that work when you view it in PDF version? Or are you saying that your username is andretacuyan? This isn't intuitive... or, what you might in your profession call, "user friendly." Just list the urls, k?I also don't know what that first and last social media button is.The skills section is taking up a lot of space.To put this in a designer terms: it seems like you've created something beautiful, at the cost of usability.
