The Basic Outline Of A Paper: Fill & Download for Free

The basic tool for starting a sketch is a pencil and a sheet of paper. Even the most qualified sketcher need these tools to make a masterpiece. If you are a beginner you'll need an eraser too.People prefer using pencils in the H range to draw the basic outline of the sketch. H refers to the hardness of the graphite lead. More the hardness, lesser the shade of the output. And as you go up the HB scale you get the B range , which refers to the blackness of the pencils mark. These B pencils have soft leads and a darker output. The B range pencils along with other numbered pencils are used to give in details to the sketch.And coming to the type of paper used, there are a wide variety of paper available in the market for drawing. If you are just practising and don't need much detail in the sketch, you can use sketch paper . This is cheap and easily available. And also office paper is good and cheap for drawing good stuff.In the below sketch I used a 2H pencil to draw the outline of the face. And used 4B to draw the eyebrows. And the paper used is normal sketching paper from a sketch book.This is the finished sketch. I used 6B ,8B ,4B to finish the entire sketch. During my school days, I used to scribble whenever I get a paper and pen. Later, I used to draw on faces in invitations, magazines and newspapers(like draw moustache for girls, apply shade for eyes, write outlines of letters etc.)I started doodling almost perfectly about 2 years ago. I have very few images of my doodles. I doodle very rare!I just tried my first Zentangle doodle art few days back.Recently, I have a craze to learn Calligraphy and doodle letters. I'm making my friend famous here. He is not on quora so I think he won't mind :pLet's start!Take a picture of person whose portrait you want to make. ( Face should be clearly visible, best if smiling )Then crop it in such a way that only face is visible, keep the ratio of 1:1 .Download the app adobe lightroom available on playstore .Open the picture in it and do the following adjustments.Select black and white image option, the picture will look something like this.Download the app drawing grid maker available on playstore.Open the picture in it and select square grids, keep the grid size above 20×20 if you are a beginner like me. The picture below has a grid of size 21×21.That was the easy part. Now take a drawing sheet and draw grids on it similar to the picture, take the size of squares according to the size of portrait you want to create .I take A4 sheet and take a square of size 1cm×1 cm generally.Now draw the outline of face accordingly by counting the number of squares in the picture, on paper.Make eyes, nose and face. Don't put too much pressure on the pencil, just a light outline is required.Now comes the hard part, rub off the grids. ( You can avoid it, if you are sketching for the first time. )Now the basic work is done. Rest of the thing depends entirely on your skills.( It gets better with time, don't give up :-) )Finally, never forget to put your signature. ;)It's DONE. :DIt might seem like too much work but the whole process hardly takes 2–3 hours.
