See, here's the thing. The food costs may be pennies. It's every thing else that contributes to the price, including but not limited to:Rent, usually several thousand dollars a month for a decent sized space with adequate parking in a busy location.Staff costs. Even two or three people per shift, lunch and dinner, seven days a week, is going to cost $300 - 500 per day, depending on your hours. Let's say $15,000 per month. Plus whatever taxes, withholdings, workers compensation, and other expenses go with that.Utilities are going to be at least another two or three grand. Restaurants use a lot of water and energy.Insurance.Accounting.Maintenance of the refrigeration, ventilation, and cooking equipment. Things break, and repair techs aren't cheap. Parts are extra….The time and cost of keeping everything clean and sanitary. That grease trap won't clean itself now, will it.Etc.So we're talking twenty grand a month before a single bean goes into the pot. And I haven't addressed the capital costs of opening a restaurant yet. I've built restaurants. Even a Subway - as basic as a restaurant can possibly be - is going to cost over $100,000 to equip and furnish. McDonald's franchises are into the million dollar range and up, depending on size and location. A nice basic sit down diner or casual cafe will run you about $200,000 before you buy the first head of broccoli. All that has to be paid for too.I have friends in the restaurant business. I have built, fixed, and renovated restaurants. It's really, really hard to make a go of it. Sounds easy, “We'll serve healthy cheap food, locally sourced, and cooked with love!”. It's not. It's a grind - long hours, lots of drama from staff and customers, equipment breaking, accounting, ordering stock - I can keep going, but I hope that the picture is clear enough by now. Its not about Rajasthan or any particular Circle of SBI,The working culture and the nature of the job is almost similar in every branches of SBIAs an associate you are expecting to do:-Cash handling,Account opening(SB,Current ,TDR,STDR,PPF,SSA etc)Transfer, NEFT/RTGS, Demand Draft n all.Account maintenance work like(KYC Updation, ATM, Cheque book , account transfer ,many more work)And you have to doing YONO app installation on daily basis .Apart from that if you like selling n all you have to sell the third party products of SBI.MOREOVER while doing all these jobs you have to face the customer (everytype - Rich one, Poor one, Farmer, Businessman, salaried people ,pensioner and what not)I am giving you an example how will be the situation in a regular day at a SBI Branch.You are sitting in a desk where you have to do all types of account opening and account maintenance related work.In the morning Branch manager has said to you that you have to do 10 yono installation today itself and some people from controlling office also doing follow up from you.Hari, who is illiterate farmer is asking why he isn't getting his gas subsidy amount in his account.Abhas, who is an HNI customer asking why his TDS amount not showing in the income tax traces site.Rakesh ,who is a pensioner want to re-verify his life certificate submission status(as he will not get satisfaction unless got confirmed from 2-3 bank staff.)Avinash is asking about why his money not yet received from Amazon as he returned the product weeks ago and amazon customer care told him to contact the home branch.And five-six other customers are standing behind them saying something which you are unable to understand .Branch manager is asking how much YONO have you installed till now ,give him the report as he have to report RM.Someone from RBO/ZO/LHO is calling for any ckyc discrepancy .These all events are happening at the same time.You have to deal with all of them, no excuses nothing.I dont think i can elaborate more...All the best.
