What happens after SSC declares final result of SSC CGL exam till your joining?In the chronological order :SSC separates your dossiers or files according to the department allotted to you (prepared during document verification). Dossiers represent your identity.Then, SSC sends all the dossiers to the concerned user department’s HeadQuarters. Suppose you get the post of Income Tax Inspector, then your dossier along with other dossiers will be sent to IT department’s administrative/ recruitment section.After sending your dossiers, SSC uploads a nomination list on its website that it has nominated your candidature to the concerned department. Date of sending dossiers is also mentioned.Work of SSC is over. Your allotted Department’s work starts.Department may or may not ask for state preferences from you online. Based on that and your place in merit, it then allocates you a state. most of the departments ask for state preferences while some don’t.Then your dossiers are sent to the concerned state HQ or zonal office as the case may be.Then department publishes state allocation list on its website stating that you are allotted a particular state & office and your dossier is sent to that office.From now onward, Allotted office will be your point of contact.It will send you form for medical check up. Again this differs from department to department. Some departments like Excise etc. will ask you to come for physical test also.After you sent your medical report and if everything is fine in your case, your Appointment Letter will be issued and will be sent to you.You will have to confirm and join within a stipulated period of time, generally 1 month from the date your appointment letter is issued.Police Verification will probably be done after joining as per latest Government directive to departments in this regard.Finally you join and your professional journey starts.You can get an extension in your joining if you have some genuine reason with documentary proof.All The Best !
