Because the politicians you will likely be voting for, unless you decide to vote for someone other than a Democrat, do want open borders. They want open borders and to abolish border and immigration enforcement agencies. So if you do not want open borders, that is great, but your party will probably hate you and call you a racist for supporting the enforcement of borders. Fear not, though, you poor, poor, concerned immigration fight refugee. We will be more than happy for you to cast a vote for Trump! We don’t call people racist just because they think borders should actually be enforced.EDIT: Don’t even bother to comment if you are going to say something like, “Democrats do not want open borders.” You are making a mockery of yourself, or you just haven’t watched or listened to your own candidates. Every one of them want to “decriminalize” border crossings. Every one of them is dead set against any deportations. Almost all of them support sanctuary cities. Many of them feel ICE should be abolished. Every one of them would easily raise their hands if you asked if they would grant amnesty. When asked what they would do at the border, they have zero answers to how to secure the border and prevent illegal immigration; they only spout nonsense about work permits, letting everyone in, and couldn't care less if anyone shows up at immigration court. For a party that seems so concerned about Russia meddling in elections, they would fuckin’ greet the Russian Army with free drivers licenses and legal help if they would only invade through the southern border and support Democrats.If you add all the nonsense almost all Democrat candidates for president have said, guess what? It is straight-up clear as a bell: they want open borders. They just don’t like to phrase it that way, because they know the country, even some of you in their party do not want that. I don’t know how you can tell yourself that they do not and keep a straight face.

So this was in third grade. So my third grade teacher -we will call her Mrs.P (not her real name ofc)- told us to do this maze and math paper thing (like you had to answer math questions before you could continue in the maze) and if we finished it early we could read a book of our choice. But bookworm me didn’t want to do this maze thing and just wanted to read so I found a loophole. So I realized that the start and finish weren’t enclosed by lines. So I drew around the maze and to the finish and then went up to Mrs.P’s desk to turn it in. She said “This isn’t done properly Lilly, you have to redo it. I protested with “But I got to the finish without crossing through any of the maze line” “But you didn’t do the math problems” “So? You didn’t say we had to” Which she augured with“But if you don’t do your math problems you will be a garbage picker-upper” She probably though that would shut me up and do the the math problems. And then I said “But the garbage people get payed more than you”. Bam. Dead silence. The smirk on her face completely gone. Anyways I was sent to the principle office, sent off back to class with a warning and a laugh at my cleverness.Good luck-Lillian

Absolutely.But not for the reasons partisans are putting forth.I am no fan of Jim Acosta or CNN. Or for that matter, Fox News. I do not mind reporters being partisans and wish they would admit it more often, but I do mind when their bias gets in the way of their doing their jobs. Both CNN and Fox let partisanship interfere to an extent that I do not find their work product useful and seldom consume anything they produce.But, I have watched the unedited original broadcast of the exchange between Acosta and Trump several times now, and while I agree that Acosta should have relinquished the microphone a bit quicker than he did, it is undeniable that Trump purposely escalated the situation from the very start. Acosta had just begun his question when Trump rudely interrupted by saying, “Here we go.” If you do not remember it clearly, go back and watch. It is unmistakable that this confrontation was preplanned and deliberate.The President signaled that the rules of decorum did not apply with his open hostility from the very beginning.Jim Acosta did better than most could at pushing back against Trump's pugilism. Had he not reacted forcefully, many would be calling him out for his timidity. Acosta was in a no-win situation and Trump exploited it. It is abundantly clear that Trump was itching for this fight and the speed with which Acosta’s credentials were suspended makes it clear that this too was thought out in advance.As truly horrible as this is, it is not this particular crossed-line that should concern you.By adopting the pugilistic posture and following it up by banning Acosta from the Press Room, Donald Trump declared an intent to suborn the United States press. And “suborn” is exactly the right word. While the President’s actions are public, the effects are hard to connect without a clear expression of evil intent however undeniable this inference may be. Anything against Trump’s interests is fake news. Any probing question is rude. Anyone not on board is an enemy of the people.While the most natural reaction to the situation is anger, it is hard not to blow right through the anger phase into Red Terror.If you are not afraid, you should be. And his words in this regard are terrifying. In June, Trump told us what he wants, but because of the daily outrages, it is easy to forget. Speaking fondly of the violent, oppressive dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, he said:He’s the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different.
