Do you find corporate law boring?

“Smithers, I see it’s 6:45 pm and you’re heading out. Not so fast! Remember the Acme acquisition we’re handling for Mr. Coyote? Well, instead of that asset purchase agreement you did, our senior tax partner has determined we should do it as a section 368 Type A reverse subsidiary merger. You’ll need to redraft all the purchase agreements and exhibits tonight. Tomorrow morning you can get started on the necessary tax clearances, regulatory approvals, shareholder signoffs including spouses, get the NDAs signed, review the loan documents, and get all securities filings done. We’ll be having a conference call with twenty attorneys at 5 tomorrow!”How could anyone not find a steady diet of this fun?

The Stock Purchase Agreement requires two signature blocks (company and purchaser). For CEO's purchase agreement, who should sign in the company signature section?

"If you publish a book in Norway, the government will buy 1000 copies (1,500 if a children's book) and distribute them to libraries throughout the country." Is this policy real? What do you think about this policy?

Yes, the policy is real, it’s commonly called «innkjøpsordningen». It’s been around since 1965, when the State came together with the publishers’ associations and the authors’ associations and instituted it in order to preserve and strengthen Norwegian as a literary language. Publishers that are members of one of the two associations stand a fair chance to have the state buy 773 copies of any novel, poem collection and play that is published for the first time. They are distributed to libraries and a selection of foreign university libraries at institutions teaching Norwegian. Books eligible for purchase are reviewed by a panel that can decide that individual works should be «nulled», i.e. not be purchased.Since 1965, separate purchase agreements have been instituted that allow for purchase of a limited number of titles, subject to a competitive editorial review, in each of the following categories:Childrens’ books, approximately 100 titles / year, 1550 copies of eachNon-fictional books for children, approx. 25 titles / year, 1480 copies of eachTranslated fiction, approximately 130 titles / year, 542 copies of eachTranslated non-fiction, approximately 50 titles /year, 1000 copies of eachIn my opinion, the purchase agreements fulfil three purposes that are in the common interest: They make sure that libraries across the country are stocked with current literature, they incentivize authors writing new Norwegian literature, and they constitute a subsidy for the publishing industry which makes it worthwhile for Norwegian publishing houses to spend resources on a broader selection of titles. I’m sure the numbers could be tweaked, and the policy isn’t perfect. But overall, I consider it to be a reasonable investment for the pleasure and enlightenment of people across the country and the preservation of Norwegian as a literary language. Most of the information here is copied from this article (in Norwegian): Innkjøpsordningene - kulturradet.noEDIT: Thanks to Morten Jørgensen, himself a published Norwegian author, who pointed out some inaccuracies in the answer. I've updated to the best of my abilities to take his comments into account, and added a link to the webpage of The Norwegian Council on Culture which describes the policy.
