Today I saw something beautiful when I opened Facebook.Two political leaders from Kerala, refused to fill the column which was reserved for religion, when they admitted their children to school.On the school applications of the children of CPI(M) MP(Member of Parliment) MB Rajesh (Right) and Congress MLA(Member of Legislative Assembly) VT Balram, (Left) the religion column shows a very conspicuous blank.They announced on Facebook that their children had been admitted to Government schools and the column asking for the child’s religion had been left blank.In MB Rajesh’s case, this is apparently the second time that he has chosen to not fill the religion column for his children.I think this is a great deed from the two young politicians and was happy to see this because all we hear in news are people fighting on the basis of religion. The Duplicate Copy of the Certificate is to be kept with the Office of the Issuing Authority for future reference/verification.Note: No elected people's representative like municipal commissioner, councillor of Municipal Corporation, any elected member of three-tier Panchayat system or GTA, MLA or MP is entitled to issue such certificates.For Proforma A-IIDomicile certificate in this proforma may be obtained from Head of the Institution from which the candidate has passed his/her 10+2 examination or will appear in his/her 10+2 examination.
