PDF Editor FAQ
Is there any part of the Christian Bible that rescinds old testament laws and restrictions?
It depends on what restrictions you are referring to. The Old Testament law was the embodiment of moral, judicial, ceremonial, dietary, and social compact law. The New Testament didn’t rescind the moral law, but Jesus did fulfill the other parts of the Mosaic code. So, for example, we Gentiles who have accepted Jesus Christ aren’t constrained to worship on Saturday, but we should set aside a day to rest and worship the Lord. It could just as easily be Tuesday. Regards, AZ Jim
Are there any people who took vaccination in the UK, and how do you feel after?
I had Covid19 in the first two weeks of December. The first week was not too bad but the second week was terrible and I came close to being hospitalised but then recovered quite well in the third week leaving me with the need to sleep over twelve hours a day for a few weeks.Last Tuesday I got a text message asking me to book an appointment to get my first jab. I called the help line and said that I had already had Covid so should I get vaccinated? Wouldn’t my dose be better going to someone with no immunity? They said no. The policy was that all people in the qualifying cohort should have the vaccine if they choose to accept it.So I booked the first appointment and to my surprise it was for two days after the message (Thursday) very quick. After putting the phone down I got a confirmatory text message of the date and time AND a further confirmation of the date and time of the second jab to be done in May! Fantastic IT and organisation!I showed up at the venue about twenty minutes before my scheduled time as I had not been there before and wanted enough time to park and find my way around. It was a large conference centre and bowls club in a suburb of Nottingham. The entire place had been converted to a vaccination centre.First off I was greeted by a receptionist at the door and asked to wash my hands with alcohol hand wash, then directed to the next person. Here I was asked to change masks for one they provided and a few questions were made as to my current covid situation (I had no temperature, cough or other symptoms). I was then directed to a third person. The third person had a tablet running some sort of NHS app and they identified me on the system, advised that I was receiving the Oxford/AZ vaccine and gave me the manufacturer's leaflet which was very similar to other leaflets you find in the boxes of prescription drugs. I was directed to follow arrows that had been taped onto the floor. This led to a large conference/events hall where a person met me and directed me to go to a particular waiting area in the back end of the hall.I got there and two rows of medical stations were laid out possibly fifteen each side. I was instructed to wait until one of the stations signalled me with a large paddle which took less than ten seconds after my arrival.I sat down at the station, which had a table with a computer, needle disposal and all the medical paraphernalia needed. I was asked a few routine ID questions, was found on the system. The nurse then held up another paddle which said “Doctor” on it and I thought at that point that there was a problem. A doctor came over and she asked me a few questions about Meds I was taking and seemed satisfied and nodded for the vaccine to be administered. The nurse then went to a central dispensing area and came back with a single dose complete with syringe, all disposable. I bared my arm and was given the vaccine which was almost completely painless.I was then given a card divided into two sections with the date, the vaccine type and batch number written on section one and identical fields in section two to be completed for the second jab.The time was written down and I was told to wait for fifteen minutes from that time and if I did not experience any untoward symptoms I could go. I could either wait in the lounge waiting area that had been set up or wait in my car but not drive until the fifteen minutes were up.I followed the arrows on the floor to the exit and waited in my car. There were no immediate side effects. The rest of the day I worked normally. The following day I woke up feeling as if I had endured a ten hour work out the previous day with muscle aches and fatigue. I went to work took a couple of paracetamol and went through the day normally. That night I had an early night and woke up on Saturday feeling normal. The whole process was a text book example of brilliant, faultless, well executed organisation.Someone had gone to a lot of trouble and really thought through the whole process of getting the vaccine, finding and organising the premises, organising the IT, the booking system, the staffing, the flow of people, the care of the patients by having the roving doctors making sure everybody was fit and able to take the jab, the manufacturer’s leaflets….just everything. There were dozens of people going through the centre but I did not feel crowded and there was no waiting at all from the time I entered the building until the time I left which was probably about fifteen minutes. This effort is a testament to the organising ability of the NHS supported by other organisations and it makes me privately proud that my Country, with all it’s many faults, can do something as world class as this.BTW, for American viewers; Direct cost to me, £0.00.
How durable are solar panels? Is hail and wind damage going to be a major concern?
Depends on where you live. For most areas of the United States, hail is infrequent and pebble-sized, and unlikely to do any notable damage to the panels. However, in places where hail is frequent (i.e. at least 1x per year) and highly damaging (i.e. golf-ball-sized hail that can leave bruises on a passerby, put cracks in windshields and damage rooftops) it's a big enough concern that I would advise against a solar install unless you can consistently predict hail and adequately protect them. There aren't very many areas I know that get such hail on a yearly basis, but there are a few. You'll probably know for your area.Wind damage is not something you worry about for the panels themselves, but rather something that you worry about for the mounting hardware. Most installations, from what I've seen, have to be modeled and have engineering calculations done for them. A good install will be highly resistant to wind, but a shoddy install might not be.The fact that a good install is very hardy to the wind is evidenced by the prevalence of rooftop solar in the Phoenix, AZ area. I drove by several neighborhoods where every roof had a few panels installed. The installations have to stand up to a fun weather event called a Haboob. That great big cloud of dust? That's moving toward you. Really fast. Run and hide. Seriously. That's 60mph wind about to hit you, and that's average speed, not burst speed. The fact that after getting hit by one or more of those every year, the only maintenance people have to do is spraying the dust off the panels with distilled water is a testament to their wind-durability.
