Kindergarten Certificates: Fill & Download for Free

It was graduation day.At the end of the graduation ceremony, each 9th grader (me) was supposed to hold hands with a kindergarten graduate (a 5 year old) and go on stage to receive our certificates.When the announcer called me and the kindergartener’a name, we went on stage. We received our certificates from the headmaster, the camera man took our picture, and then we went of stage.Just as I was about to say goodbye to the kindergartener, he shook his certificate and asked me,“What is this?”I replied,“This is a graduation certificate! It means you graduated from kindergarten! You did a good job!”He then asked me with a chuckle,“I didn't do anything~ Why do I get one?”At first I chuckled back at him, but then I froze.Why? What does a kindergarten certificate mean?Congratulations! Your parents paid enough money to earn you a certificate!Congratulations! You can enter the nest stage to make your parents pay more money, even if you don't want to!Congratulations, you will get rewards all throughout life for being babysitted!I was speechless.

Kindergarten teachers tend to be women who are good with kids. They’re also college graduates (they’d have to be in order to have a teaching certificate). They, more than most people, understand just how important it is for young children to have parents who are very active in their lives.Keep that in mind as I tell you this truth: a lot of the kindergarten teachers who quit before retiring do so in order to be stay-at-home mothers for their own children.At least, that’s exactly what happened to all three kindergarten teachers who quit before retiring that I’ve worked with over the years. They got married, got pregnant, and decided to put their careers on hold while they raised their own children. To date, to the best of my knowledge, none of them have re-started their teaching careers. They’ve just had more children of their own instead.

I’ve read/skimmed thru most of the answers here and would agree, that if you work outside of academia, it is experience, expertise and results that count. After I finished my PhD coursework, I went to work in the private sector where little value was placed on the credential. As I plodded along finishing my bibliography and prospectus, I had also come to the conclusion that I was no longer going continue in a career in anthropology, but rather to focus on skills related to business development. Anthropology degrees take a notoriously long time to finish and it would be of no value to me going forward. I saved myself a lot of grief by letting go and focusing on a new career. Within a year I was making as much as my committee chair and no longer putting up with the politics of a dysfunctional academic department.Interestingly, I found myself back in academia within a few years, but on the administrative side, most of which was spend in university-industry relations, since I could “speak both languages”. Not being restricted to working with one particular discipline, I’ll have to say that I had a more interesting career than if I had stayed in my former field and could, and did, volunteer on some archaeology projects from time to time on my own schedule.As far as industry types not touting their PhD’s, the best example I ever ran across was when I was visiting the R&D campus of a U.S.-based major international pharma. In the VP of Research’s office, he had only one credential on his wall - his kindergarten certificate from the 1950s.
