Texas has more medical schools than any other state. If you become a state resident, your odds of entry into one of their medical schools improves statistically. This is very subjective and I can only tell you my biased opinion.I think Drexel will have a better MPH program. It’s well recognized, it’s in a mid-market (major city), and my advisor recommended I apply there for my DrPH. I think major cities are beneficial for MPH’s so you can get opportunities working with larger organizations that are working with the community/public. I also like the opportunity of living in a more accessible city (my preference) when I’m only there for 2 years.North Texas seems to have fewer opportunities for internships that don’t involve the school, and can ultimately lead to a lesser chance of working at bigger universities, but it is fairly close to Dallas so you’ll have to commute a bit if you want to work with larger orgs.
