I've had both of these,A normal burnout feels like you're the thing breaking for whatever reason, you're tired, haven't had a break, been stressed etcAn autistic burnout is still kinda like the above but it feels like the whole world has either slowly or suddenly been slipping into an insane irrationality, you can't deal with NT ways of doing things, you may know how to do things or how to do things better but the world of social realities won't let you no matter what. This happened to me to the point my job and such my income and means of independently supporting myself was threatened, I was living alone and had no support network. My family lived two hours away, but still came all the way to support me. That was last year and resulted in my Asperger's diagnosis.An autistic meltdown is a logical feedback loop where you can empirically demonstrate how you're sane and everyone else is crazy while trying to consolidate that with the ever burning question that of you're the odd one out, how can you be sure you're not the crazy one?Needless to say, it hurts, a lot and a good night's sleep doesn't fix it.

Oh that is easy - having great social skills.“Wait he said what?!”Yes great social skills. As an autistic person. With Asperger’s.No I am not a neurotypical that was “diagnosed” on the internet. I was diagnosed as Asperger’s at the age of 15 by a professional. I display all the sensitivity and motor clumsiness that aspies have. But you will NEVER know I was an aspie if we are in a party.Hell I might be the first to make you dance.I am 23 today and recently got an offer to coach people on social skills.How in the hell did an autistic person learn social skills?You are right. It should not happen. It is not against nature for an aspie to learn social skills, but it is supposedly impossible for an aspie to compete with an NT socially.The blue area deals with speech comprehension. As you can see, aspies get a 10x smaller version. This is why aspies focus more on *what* was said than *how* it was said.This is not a a kid that was bad at math but somehow stuck through it and aced numbers. Physically speaking, I lack the brain hardware to perform socially.So how did I do it?Machiavelli said “Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.”So I turned autism into the biggest advantage to understanding social skills.One of Asperger’s symptoms is having obsessions. One day you might want to know everything there is about the migration patterns of African Swallows so you read wiki articles 5 hours straight. A week later you read so much about coconuts you can school biology teachers.So I channeled my obsessions into knowing EVERYTHING there is to know about social skills.Dozens of books about body language, conversation structure, emotions, facial expressions etc.Study of history, sociology and anthropology all combined to better understand the human narrative.Thousands of hours where I grill my friends about the smallest facets of social conventions. More time in front of my computer where I translate “it just feels right” advice into logical, binary instructions aspies can understand.Approached hundreds of hundreds of men and women. In the beginning I was cringey and weird. Now I can make conversation about anything with anyone anywhere.The thing with social skills is that you NT’s are silver spoon fed with them. You are born with them and never give second thought to why you feel a girl is flirting, or what inflection in the boss's tone made you think he didn’t really compliment you.I earned my social skills. I built them from the ground up. Like an oil titan with hands calloused from working the rigs at his youth, I have a deep understanding of my field none of the people “born into social skill privilege” can ever hope to have.This is why both me and my NT friends can understand if a girl is flirting, but only I can know when she wants to be kissed. This is why me and my NT friends know if someone is interested in a conversation, but only I can tell when they want to leave the place.Social skill speaking, me and NT’s both have a penthouse apartments. Mine however, rests on steel foundations that go hundreds of meters into the ground.I could have said I have experienced the kind of ostracism not from society, but humanity that no NT would ever experience. Or ridiculous levels of discomfort from pin head sized pebbles in my shoes that prevented me from working out in junior high.But this is one thing no NT will ever experience, and no aspie experienced.Yet that is.

To be fair, the only western democratic nation that seems to have an issue with the concept of social democracy is the US.
