Why, yes!Our kid’s birthday fell on Easter one year, so we went to Baskin-Robbins for a thematic (bunny) ice cream cake. Kid was under ten. Sibling was even younger.We asked them to make a bunny face LIKE the one on their roll cake, but on a larger cake. We actually asked if they could make a flat cake in the shape of an Easter bunny head; they said yes (see order form). We asked for it to say “Happy Easter Birthday [kid’s name]”. Pretty straightforward - we thought.Here’s the order form, with the personal info redacted.What we were expecting: a cute bunny face like this, but as a flat cake with a white face and no cookie. We were expecting a cake that looked VERY much like this end of this cake.or maybe this, but as a flat cake. That would have been fine, although I think it’s a later version of B-R’s bunny cake.Did I mention that this was a birthday cake for an elementary-school kid? It was. And we *did* tell Baskin-Robbins this. As you can see above, they marked “child” on the order form.What we got: this evil, terrifying bunny cake (I’ve redacted kid’s name from the image).We pretty much opened the box and yelped.What’s with the eyebrows? And the mustache? And why is it ANGRY??? And why is it a candy bunny head stuck on a regular rectangular cake, instead of being a cake in the shape of a bunny head or at least a bunny head drawn in icing on a rectangular cake?The written part came out fine (it did indeed say “Happy Easter Birthday” and had kid’s name), and there were lovely spring-y decorations, and the flavors were as requested, but it is not exactly a flat cake in the shape of a bunny head and it sure as heck isn’t a cute cake for a kid’s party :(
