Here are a few options;Find an event company (There are plenty in Mumbai). Look for any road show or advertising campaign that they are doing. They are always on the lookout for guys who can be a part of the crowd or something. One gets paid dailyFind a company which does surveys (IMRB is one). You can visit shops/residences/offices for a quick Q&A of 15 minutes. For each form you complete, you get paid.Go to an advertising agency model scout. They are always on the look out for people to be a part of a crowd (same like pt. 1). You get paid on an assignment basis.Find a drama / theater group. They might have a show in the locality and might want help for their back-stage work.Look out for workshops/seminars happening in the locality. They might be from outstation and need help in setting up their seminars.Find out if there are any exhibitions going on. Exhibitors might want to hire helping hands for 3 to 4 days (depending on the duration of the exhibition).There are many more ways. Just find your inclination and you’lll be good! Let me take this Q one by oneWhy is Kannada movie not getting screened easily ?There is cost sharing agreement between exhibitors ( PVR, Cinemax and so on) and distributors/producer.Here, the cost of ticket are lower for Kannada cinema.Rs. 180 ticket on 50-50% sharing formula means Rs. 60 to exhibitor and Rs.60 to distributor.If a Telugu movie is released in the same slot, then the cost of ticket would be Rs. 250 to 500 depending on type of screen and ticket.Rs. 250 ticket would earn a revenue of Rs. 125As a product or territory manager sitting in Dehali, Mumbai or even Bengaluru, I would love to maximize my revenue for my circle. ( I am paid for that )So, I would love to put more and more movies which provide me more means of revenue.Why Kannada producers and directors struggle to get a theatre, while other language movie can get it easily ?Kannada movie makers look only at Karnataka circle and have not stepped out of their comfort zone.A Telugu or Tamil movie will be released all over India and its easier for pan India exhibitors to spread the movie across the halls in India.Initially, Kannada movie makers have to adopt a model similar to Freemium so that viewers get hooked onto the content and would move to theatres! Even exhibitors should see the value add in airing this content.Also, there is a lack of visibility inside the malls for Kannada movies ( thanks to their badly designed posters ) or inability to adopt to consumer taste.Even though there is no visibility in multiplexes and single screen, audiences have always encouraged good movies based on word of mouth and social media publicity.Is this quality issue ? Single screen - They are catering to the lower middle class segment. So, one should ensure that more and more good quality theatres are built from the cinema association.Expecting government to create infrastructure ( theatre, malls etc ) to showcase Kannada movies wont be market friendly. It will meet the same fate as Shankarnag or Puttana Kanagal theatre of Bengaluru.Start own channels having owners from KarnatakaKannada producer would always say"Channels preethi inda cinema na promote madabeku.Navu Yake? Channels air time ge duddu kodabeku ! "Kannada channel ( mostly from non-Karnataka region) owner would say "Boss, its business for me! pay or walk out "On the other side, channels can give lesser rates for promotion. adare, producer did not even approach channel for promotions. So, blaming the channels for lackluster publicity is not correct.Hire good people ( comes with better pay ) for marketingGone are the days, when cinema crew would make a press conference in Kanisha hotel, stick some posters in Majestic and then expect the audience to flow in !
