Great Product, Great Team, Great Idea and Great Execution.The four Greatness Pillars to be a successful startup.You need a great product - the product can be an app if you’re a technology company, can be your cafe or restaurant if you want to open that, can be your first few authors if you want to start a Publishing house etc / startups don’t always mean tech products / the product needs to be great and it needs to be first in something - like Dollar Shave Club were the first ones to deliver to your house 1$ Razors - or the first cafe that only serves keto diet food - when it’s the first in something even if it’s a niche then you’re doing something unique (this always need not be the case, but it sure helps) - the product needs to be brilliantYou need a great team - great co-founders - great founding team membersYou definitely need a great idea - but people confuse great ideas to be being significantly different than the ones out there - even if it’s 10% - 20% better and you have a USP then please go ahead and execute - Snapchat was very similar to other apps except the pictures were ephemeral and they targeted teenagers, Nike entered the market when big players were already there - they launched the Waffle shoes and their shoes were better 20% than others - today they are one of the most valued companies - the idea should be unique, should be entirely new or at least 10–20% better than what’s already out there, see what are the problems that are out there but not being solved by anyone or solved in a bad manner and you want to improve that experienceOh and my favourite, Execution - how much ever I talk about it - it’s less - it’s the most important thing - Execution can turn your bad idea into a good one, execution can help you get a great team, execution can help you build a better product. I am not saying first three are not important, they are very important and needed, execution can just help cover any gaps if there in first three. If you don’t have first three - then Execution doesn’t make any sense.In simple words - Execution is converting your dream into reality and solving every problem that comes in the way.
