Well, if you’re facing drivers issues then something wrong with your system. But, let me tell you clearly that Windows 7 is the XP of Microsoft. Means, once upon a time Windows XP was the only OS in which you rarely found any drivers issues, or problem running any software in it. Just like that, Microsoft enhanced Windows 7 more in out of box drivers support also, which makes it the most stable Client OS I've used till now.I’m using Windows 7 since 6 yrs, and till now I haven’t encounter any drivers issues, from the generic drivers of OS. Yeah, if you connect some additional devices, like Printers, WiFi cards, Graphics Cards etc. then you definitely need to install its supporting drivers, which came with it, in the form of a DVD, or you can also download them from your device manufacturer website.So, Windows 7 consist all the generic drivers. But, for additional devices which you connect to your PC, you need specific drivers for them. Not only Windows 7, no OS is having each and every driver for all the devices in the World.Regarding your statement about Linux, I say, don’t compare Linux with Microsoft Windows OS.
