They have f*cked it up so bad that it’s easier to just move and ruin someone else’s home instead of fixing their own.Idaho used to have a low cost of living but now people who have lived here their entire lives can’t afford to live here anymore. Homes in my town now cost about as much as comparable homes in Hawaii!!! The people “in charge” are drooling at the money that out of state developers are bringing in while turning their back on our citizens and preservation of our forests, lakes and rivers.It has gotten so bad recently that Idaho Gov. Brad Little ordered a third-party review of the data concerning the health of our lake. Nothing will happen with that, but at least they are recognizing that it is being destroyed. If Californians are good at anything, it’s draining natural water sources and burning the place to the ground.Californians say they are moving here because they like the small town lifestyle and want to be near nature and raise their kids in a safe environment. Well, them moving here is turning this place into exactly what they are trying to get away from. It is also turning otherwise nice people into “angry locals that hate outsiders” (quote from an article I read recently).R.I.P. Idaho.

I am embarrassed to admit that Idaho supported Ted Cruz for Presidential candidacy and my federal senators support the use of torture.I have lived here for almost 50 years. If I had my way, I would not live in a state that is so contrary to my personal positions, ethics, and morality. The people wanted a Union like the USA but with more states rights and a direct democracy. Capitol is Raleigh. Nation does not have slavery, but is very conservative. There is even an ultra-nationalist party in the country. They are considered the strongest nation in the continent and have the 3rd best economy. It has nuclear weapons, but a no first-strike policy. It has about 1000 in all and is building about 100 per year.Allies: Texas, Virginia, Deseret.Enemies: Pennsylvania, Ohio, California.…Deseret:Direct Democracy With Some Dictatorial ElementsUltra-nationalist ConservativeCapitol: Salt Lake CityPop: 20–30 MillionAfter the split, Colorado collapsed due to insane taxes and crime rates. Utah, Nevada, and Arizona team up and invade Colorado and New Mexico. They occasionally wage wars with California and Cascadia, winning at nearly every turn. They are the 2nd strongest country and are closing in on the number one spot. However, they are still a little ways behind. They have the second best economy thanks to the fact that they and Texas have a monopoly on oil in the region which constantly fuels the other nations wars. They also are opening new regions of economy and could potentially topple New York’s Number 1 economy spot. Capitol is Salt Lake City. In this nation, Laws can be very harsh, and the death penalty is quite common for murder, rape, etc. However, they’re aren’t anywhere near as many people in jail and still a lot of money going around. Thanks to this, Deseret has free health-care benefits and low taxes. It is extremely anti-socialist and acts a lot like the USA does in real life, intervening in wars abroad. It has multiple puppets that it has grabbed through war in other parts of the world. These puppets include, Venezuela, Central American Union, Syria, Oman, Somalia, and Liberia. The Deseret Union has a policy of shoot first ask later. It DOES have nuclear weapons and has used them on several targets that it has taken down in order to get a further hold on the oil market of the world. They wanted to take NM, but didn’t get it in time. They maintain a strong relationship with Deseret and the CSA. They have a nuclear weapons program, but they only have 20 working bombs as of now, due to the fact that they have no wish for an aggressive level of nuclear weapons, but only enough to deter enemies in their region, even though both the CSA and Deseret keep pushing them to build large arsenals like them. They are very similar to the the CSA in government forms. They also own a puppet, Mexico. I’ll get to that later because it kind of conflicts with the Deseret Puppet there. But Texas is pretty isolationist except for it’s allies. It doesn’t really get involved in many nations business. It has the 3rd strongest military, but it is quite a ways behind Deseret and the CSA, the two of them are neck and neck, but then there’s a gap, then Texas, at this point, most people are neck and neck. It also has the 5th best economy, it is in a partnership with Deseret and they ave total control over 60%–70% of the worlds oil supply market. (The only other major exporters are some people in the Middle-East, Africa, and former USSR nations.) However, of this, nearly 70–80 percent of it is under Deseret’s control, but Texas also has several other markets, where Deseret is nearly 85% oil export. Texas is likely to survive for quite some time as a reasonable power.…Alaska:Federal Republic:Ultra-Conservative, Population is angry.Capitol: JuneauPop: 2–4 MillionWhen the USA collapsed, Alaska was the target of multiple attacks, from Japan, Canada, and even some minor attacks from Russia, Alaska was not ready, their 7.3 hundred thousand person population didn’t provide enough manpower to defeat all their enemies, but they had all the weapons they needed, left over from former federal military bases. They decided to just use air superiority and artillery/armor as the base of their military. Tokyo got bombed along with about every other major Japanese city. Cruise missiles rained hell down upon Japanese troops in the Aleutian Islands and Canadian forces in Yukon and Vancouver. A month into the war, Japan signed a white peace with Alaska, as they were pushed out of the Aleutians, along with they’re navy being crippled. At this point neither side had the ability to invade the other, but Alaska could still bomb Japan, so the war was pointless. The Alaskans held the line against the few Russian divisions that had made a beach-head. While they did this, they pushed the Canadians out of Alaska and pushed them through Yukon, Vancouver, and eventually reached Nunavut. The Canadians at this point were also facing a rebellion in Quebec. They were forced to surrender in order to fight the rebels (They failed). After this, Alaska, turned their forces to push the Russians, who had gained a little bit of land, out of Alaska. The Russians were defeated by their own doctrine of brute force use of Artillery, Tanks, and Strategic bombers, which had been adopted by Alaska. The Russians, now shamed by their former colony, were forced to sign a white peace, one article of the treaty was that Russia was no-longer allowed to send federal troops to Kamchatka. And the National guard is not allowed to mobilize more than 20,000 men there. Along with this, Russian navy vessels do not have right of way through the bearings-straight, instead having to stick to Russian-owned waters, and there are even limits on the numbers of Naval vessels and Aerial vessels. Alaska has JUMPED to the 4th best military, and the 6th best economy, thanks to heavy trade with other North-American nations.…New York:Federal RepublicLiberalCapitol: AlbanyPop: 25–30 MillionNew York was in a state of Emergency after the USA Dissolved. It was facing a war with all of it’s dying neighbors. New England, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. It managed to pull itself together and push them back. It forced New England into a white peace. And the same goes for Pennsylvania. New Jersey now stood alone. They were crushed. Now, New-York is building up, it knows it will eventually be faced with another war, and it had best be prepared, New England is gearing up for another war and Pennsylvania is IN another war. New York has the best Economy and the Fifth Best Military. It is, however, expected to be passed in economy by Deseret within 5 years, so that may not stay the best for it. However, it does look like New York will survive well into the future, but will see plenty of brutal, bloody, terrible war.…New EnglandFormer Fed. He has invested far more in the military than then former would ever have. Thanks to this, the Economy has slowly been stagnating, as he has not re-invested in anything BUT the military. New England has the 6th best economy(Anyone keeping track of economies? I’m gonna need notes), and the 6th best military, but is just centimeters behind New-York(If you get what I mean). They also have an extremely armed population. New England is definitely a force to be reckoned with.…**At this point I will no longer be saying who the best economy or military is, the nations are listed in military strength from strongest to weakest.**…CascadiaFederal RepublicLiberalCapitol: SeattlePop: 10–15 MillionCascadia was originally 2 nations. 3 if you count Idaho. What happened was that the original two, Oregon and Washington, realized they couldn’t survive on their own. They were forced to unite, they’re people wanted to anyways, so, it wasn’t any form of burden. After they united, they looked north and Realized that if Alaska fell, Russia or Canada may come for them next, just to get a grasp on the Pacific Coast of the US. Remember, Alaskan ports aren’t as used as Californian, Oregonian, and Washington ports. They decided to offer Idaho a peaceful annexation, Idaho refused, Cascadia declared war. Idaho went to the newly united Dakota for help. They said no because they’re military was still being merged. So they went to Utah. Utah said they’d send planes, but not many. Utah needed most of what it had for battles against New Mexico and Colorado, and a few skirmishes with California. Idaho had to fight on their own. They lost. Cascadia had too many men and resources for Idaho to resist. After this, Deseret vowed to Liberate Idaho one day. Cascadia still deals with Deseret sponsored insurgency groups in Idaho to this day. Other than that, they do have occasional border wars with Deseret. Things are getting very close to all out war now, Cascadia’s only life-line is a military alliance between them, California, and China. China is the Largest economy as of now, and California and Cascadia are almost 100% reliant on them for Imports. Cascadia is nearing their end.…OhioFederal RepublicConservativeCapitol: ColumbusPop: 15–20 MillionOhio is a very strong nation, it is not in a situation like Cascadia where it is strong but on the brink of collapse, it is actually very unified. After the collapse, they Great-Lakes region was in turmoil. Ohio managed to expand into Indiana and Michigan. They crushed a few Liberal Regimes that had risen up from the Anarchy in those states, they now have turned around. and are in an active war with Virginia. They are fighting over the vast fossil-fuels in West Virginia. Ohio made major initial gains in the war, at this point, Pennsylvania got drawn in by their own greed. Ohio maintains a consistently offensive war against Virginia. Ohio will likely remain a strong nation for a long time to come.…VirginiaDirect DemocracyMixedCapitol: RichmondPop: 10–15 MillionVirginia was originally a major power-house on the east-coast while New York was getting kicked in the teeth and the CSA was still forming. however, once Ohio invaded, the initial repercussion crippled them. Almost all of West Virginia was lost. The Virginians managed to hold fast eventually, but then Pennsylvania invaded their northern territory. They were doomed, luckily for them, the CSA sent them reinforcements, it is likely that a peace deal will be reached soon. Virginia will be weakened however, it must act fast to rebuild if it doesn’t want it’s neighbors to devour it.…***At his point I have basically covered all the really important countries, so i’m moving on, but i’m not done yet!***…40 Years later…Assuming the USA collapsed in 2020 this is 2060:Now hear me out. I’ll explain it like I did last time.…Back-Story:Eventually, once Deseret had the best economy in North America, they decided to expand. they invaded Cascadia and California a year later. New York and New England went to war, and it became a North America of mostly Liberal vs Conservatives. Most Liberal Nations were bankrupt and weak, with the exceptions of New York and Quebec, who had flourished for some time. The Virginians were annexed by the CSA who declared all out war on Ohio and Pennsylvania, they in turn teamed up with New York, who was as of now, pushing into New England. Quebec then joined the alliance. Canada, who was at this point all out communist after a few years of emotional voting, invaded Quebec, Alaska didn’t have troops to waste on Canada right now, so they just sent a few divisions to guard the Border. Cascadia attempted to hold the line with Deseret, but failed. Deseret was using Blitzkrieg, and they had every possible advantage. The Californians attempted to launch an invasion of Nevada with everything they had, they gained some ground and even took Carson city, but were then pushed back, a month later, everything was going badly. But then it seemed that hope was not lost, Russia, China and Japan joined on the Liberals Side. Alaska withdrew most of their forces to fight Russia, and Japan, and luckily for them, Russia did not have the naval capability to land a large force on the Alaskan coast. After the dissolution of the US many other countries collapsed due to economic pressure to take the USA’s place. China tried but failed due to a weakening economy and dependence on the US. Shortly there-after, Deseret and Texas secured the world’s oil reserves. As the world burned, the Deseret Union rose to power. When war again broke out, the Deseret Union crushed Cascadia and California, even pushing out the remnants of China. Deseret then United with Alaska, Most of Texas, Most of the Great Plains, and the Neutral states. The American Federation led a charge into Russian Siberia, forcing them to surrender. Russia then blamed China for the Loss and a war broke out between the two. The war ended with a Russian victory, as China didn’t have enough resources to fight their way out. China collapsed afterwards. This secured the American Federation’s spot as the No.1 superpower in the world. Afterwards, The American Federation annexed the Mexican puppets, and expanded into Latin America. Now the world was bent at the AF’s whim.Since it is the economic superpower, with a GDP of 46.362 Trillion USD, it has attracted a massive population. The American Federation has slowly annexed land in South America and Africa for it’s people to live in. It also deports some people to live in it’s puppets in non-annexed Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, and La Plata. The American Federation has Annexed or puppeted every nation with a major Oil Supply with the exceptions of Russia, Israel, Australia, and a few African Nations. The A.F. now dominates the Oil Market, and the Nuclear Power market. They also have cornered many other markets such as agriculture and mining natural minerals. Gauche was originally a Federal Republic and was actually somewhat nice to live in, then a civil war occurred where the working class rose up. The Military took control and put an Orwellian government in place of the old Federal Gov. Gauche has occasionally had a border war with Russia, but other than that they have stayed mostly peaceful. Gauche does occasionally come up with nice developments in technology but is mostly reliant on other nations for fuel. Besides trade, Gauche has little to do with other nations.…Russian Tsardom:Paternal AutocratsUltra-Nationalist and ConservativeCapitol: NovgorodPop: 500,000,000The Russian Tsardom was established shortly following World War 3, where the old Russian Federation was destroyed by the American Federation. The Russian Tsardom was formed by a group of Political “Strongmen” who united their nation through a sense of National Pride. The Tsardom is very powerful militarily, but is no match for the American Federation. The Russians government is in a tricky situation, as they have fed nationalism to the people, and now the people want another round with the American Federation, but another war would likely destroy Russia. The Russians do occasionally have pre-arranged border wars. The population of course does not know about any previous arrangements, but the gov. does arrange them with the American Federation, as the AF gets combat experience, and the Russians get Combat Experience AND they’re people can let off some steam. There is about a 200 mile border zone on the AF-Russian border which constantly changes in who owns what because of the border wars. Gauche does a similar thing involving it’s puppets, where they have border-wars with Russia. Russia is going to have to think VERY hard to survive the coming decades.…Confederated States of America:Direct DemocracyUltra-ConservativeCapitol: Washington D.C.Pop: 600,000,000The CSA has become a very strong nation in recent years. The AF has constantly backed it in both military and economic crisis. they maintain a strong alliance with the AF and the GLF. The CSA owns several puppets in North Africa and is currently occupying Indonesia. After the fall of Russia and China, the CSA needed resources to rebuild it’s war machine, they sent forces into the Caribbean, where no one had any level of military might capable of holding back, let alone defeating the CSA. After this, the CSA has dominated and puppeted regions of Africa around and in Morocco, the CSA uses them as resource pits. They get oil and some other minerals from the AF for almost nothing, but they still need factories, and a lot of other resources. They do not trade with Gauche, nor do they recognize Gauche as the rightful owner of any territory. The CSA maintains a very close and personal alliance with the AF and the GLF, in fact the three nations are so close they are sometimes called the “Three Brothers.”…Great Lakes Federation:Federal Republic, Follows US ConstitutionConservativeCapitol: ColombusPop: 140,000,000The GLF was formed when the government President of the Republic of Ohio was overthrown after deciding to fight the CSA in World War 3, as he was judged unfit to rule. The temporary military Junta which took his place swapped sides, Invaded Canada and the Plains Nation, and then helped the war end in North America earlier than expected. When the GLF entered Chicago, they discovered black families owning white slaves, mostly trailer park types, or homeless, but still slaves. The government was brought to trial in Denver, along with a number of major slave owners, most of them were sentenced to death. Other slave owners were fined for their crimes, or thrown in jail. The city was rebuilt, the GLF is very prosperous, being a massive trade partner for the CSA and the AF. Militarily, the GLF is not on par with either of their neighbors, although they do have several protocols for rapid emergency mobilization.…Now we’re going to talk about continents. Just their basic Status, no population, military, or economic might.…North America:The most prosperous continent by far. Home to the AF, CSA, and GLF. Continent is center of international trade and military action. Almost all major companies are based in North America. Hunger is nearly non-existent. Crime has almost been irradiated. If only this were true for the rest of the world.…South America:Fairly well off. Mostly AF puppets. La Plata is the best off other than AF territory on the continent itself. Peru and Brazil are ok, but not as good. About the same as nowadays, slightly better in Peru and Rural Brazil however. Almost all La Plata is like modern day Argentina.…Africa:Not well off. Africa was split up between the AF, the CSA, and several other parties. One being Egypt, dominating North Africa. Nigeria took over a lot of Western Africa. The Republic of South Africa ended up in a civil war between two parties. One being “The Whites,” and the other, “The Blacks.” (These are not talking about race, but are just the names of the two sides) The Whites eventually won, as the Blacks literally ran out of food, along with the majority of the military siding with the Whites, and the Whites receiving support from the North American Nations. The Congo, and a lot of other Rural Africa is suffering from very bad povery, sickness, starvation, crime, etc.…Europe:The mainland is almost completely under the control of Gauche, with the Balkans under the control of the Balkan Federation, which united for protection from Gauche, along with the UK, which is still around, even after one or two wars with Gauche, and Scandinavia, a union of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. Europe is fairly calm by now, open war is not really heard of anymore, other than a few pre-arranged border skirmishes between Russia and Gauche.…AsiaAsia is a mess. China is balkanized, a ton of small nation states. Meanwhile, India to the south, now known as the “New Raj.” Is in control of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. India is expanding into Southern China, and Indochina, although progress is slow. Japan, Korea (South Korea annexed the North in WW3), Taiwan, and the Philippines are in a mutual defense and economic alliance.…Oceania:Entire continent is united under Australia, ally of the AF. Australia is strong, occasionally intervenes in Asian wars to keep anyone from getting too strong.…Middle-EastIs in a continual war between Israel, Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and Egypt.
