No, it does not appear to be true.What seems to have been the case is that the board of elections received 9 envelopes from outside the US. Not knowing whether they were ballots or applications for ballots, they opened the outer envelopes to find out. It turned out that they were ballots, but without the inner security envelope which the PA supreme court — at the urging of state Republicans — recently ruled were required in order to be valid ballots.The invalid ballots were therefore discarded.The Trump administration appears to be using an inaccurate description of those events to cast doubt on mail-in voting, though.Note: I strongly urge people to google for the latest information. Information that has come out since this answer was written indicates that the ballots may have been mistakenly discarded by a consultant working for the county. None of the new information (as of Sep 27) indicates that there was any fraud or anything other than human error.

As of 11pm on Sep 27, he’s in a lot of trouble. Not because of any specific revelation (and there were a bunch of them today), and not even because the first Republican Representative (Mark Amodei, R-NV) came out in support of an impeachment investigation.No, he’s really in trouble because he’s lost control of the story. Enough other people are now coming forward that he can’t Tweet enough to make the story about his attacks on them.I think the odds of him being impeached are better than even at this point, though the odds of him being removed from office are still fairly small. That could change remarkably quickly, though, if Republicans start thinking he’s radioactive enough that it will cause them to lose seats in the Senate. At that point, the standard for impeachment (and conviction) becomes not putting two spaces after periods in his tweets.
