So, when you have never been elected to anything (Trump) or served in government in any way (Trump again), expect poor results. Then, when you fill your cabinet with a surprising number of neophytes (Tillerson, DeVos, Carson, Mnuchin, Ross, and others), and take advice from people even less qualified than those neophytes (Bannon, Kushner, Ivanka, Don Jr.) expect things to get worse. Trump nominated Rick Perry to head the department of energy, despite him having absolutely no experience in the field, and once forgetting in a debate the fact that he wanted to eliminate the entire department.Obama, by contrast, surrounded himself with a “team of rivals” who were all incredibly capable, experienced politicians. (Biden, Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Holder, etc.)If you want “outsiders”, expect Trump-level stupidity. If you want good governance, elect good governors.

So, I'm wondering, would you be willing to lose all your privacy, have your entire career put under the microscope, risk having any intern you had a cross word with in the last quarter century accuse you of sexual harassment, have your personal finances gone over, your housekeeper's immigration records scrutinized, have your spouse, children, neighbors, college roommates and your paperboy be harassed, and have Fox News show a grainy photo of you looking like a crazy person every time they say your name, and have this continue for 11 months, knowing that, in all likelihood, in the end your nomination will never be voted on?Smith: <click>Obama: Hello? Are you still there?That's the basic problem.
