What was your routine during GATE preparation?
Thanks for A2A,• Wake up at 7 a.m and take 15 mins to plan my day. It takes almost one hour to finish my as usual activities.I manage to study 1 hour in moring as I am a working professional.• During my office hour I use to study with the help of internet sometimes.• Come back from office by 8 p.m and take two hour for refreshment. At night I use to study form 10 p.m to 1 a.m.This is all about my weekdays activities. For weekends, everything is same except my office hour. So I use to study 8 to 9 hours in weekends.Honestly,I can not able to achieve 100 percent of the above schedule. But definitely I achieve 80 percent of it.Thank you!
How should I schedule my day?
Making a plan for every single day can be daunting. Plus, a little boring. Whatever happened to spontaneity? Well luckily there is a happy medium to accomplish both. If you would like to master your day to get the most out of it while still allowing for the unexpected events in life to sweep you off your feet, a plan will be essential. When I was starting out in the business world I was trying my hand at quite a few different tasks. I was very flexible with my mindset however, what helped me to best establish my days was having a routine. My routines made it so my day almost planned itself. I recommend you have an established routine and you will see the positive effects it has on your life as a whole.Always start your days at the same time and try to leave yourself time in the morning to do a few things you like, like making a good breakfast and getting in a nice workout. You should attempt to do something everyday that brings you personal fulfillmentNext, write down the list of things you have to do that day and begin working on the hardest things as soon as possibleAs you work your way down the list give yourself adequate breaks for both food and mild relaxation. Your body and mind will soon form habits of being in a work zone and a relaxing zone if you do them at the same time everydayFinally, make sure you are all set for the next day and then truly allow yourself to unwind for some time in the evening. This will reset your mind so that it is good to go for the next dayIf you follow a routine, everyday you will be accomplishing a good amount of work, therefore when the unexpected in life comes about you will have some leeway to take chances.Routines will make your daily plan that much simpler and avoid the effort it takes for you to think of a game plan for each individual day.
What was your NEET preparation story?
It is really encouraging to go through a flashback to my NEET preparation days when the NEXT exam is not even a year far. I had scored 68% and 87% in my 11th and 12th standard respectively. After bagging yet another disappointing total of 416/720 in NEET 2016 on my first attempt, I rushed straight to the Kumbh Mela of students...Where coaching is spirituality, faculties are the sages, modules are the scriptures, we are the disciples and cracking the competitive exam is the ultimate salvation. The same fear that knocks every NEET aspirants' door - ten lakh participants, approx ten thousand seats....Virus was so damn on point!!!Pumping motivation through orientation programmes at Allen works only for a day or two. In my case, it worked much longer - for a week. But the competitive environment in the class did me wonders.A well disciplined lifestyle was the best change I brought in myself. I started waking up early at five and meditation became the undetachable part of my daily routine. My schedule was something like this:5 to 6:30 AM - Study6:30 to 8:30 AM - take bath, meditate, breakfast, read newspaper and Quora.8:30 AM to 1 PM - Study with regular breaks to run some errands.2 to 9 PM - Classes9 PM onward - have dinner, create ruckus at hostel, study for another hour and then sleep like a baby.My internet plan was 120 mb for 28 days and it lasted till the end. Can you believe that? Aaaah those pre-Jio days!!!While I had a really bad hand at Physics in which my only aim was to score above 100, My grip at biology and chemistry grew firmer with every test. The seeds of discipline now started coming to fruition in the form of these...(These were the first medals I ever won at academics.)There were ups and downs for sure. Especially during the major tests when after securing double digit ranks initially, my performance graph started declining progressively. That was definitely the most depressing phase during the whole journey. But giving up was not the option anyway.(Fast forward)7th May 2017.."580! It's 580" I screamed after cross checking with the answer code just released by Allen. That was the day I got acquainted with the meaning of the phrase "Over the moon"Biology- 326/360Chemistry- 145/180Physics- 109/180I expected my AIR to be around 2000 as suggested by many experts given the trend back then. But competition was really tough and I landed to AIR 5245 and State rank 147. Subsequently, I got admission into Gandhi medical College Bhopal. That was just the start however…
