2015CBSE declares Class 10th results10 C.G.P.AMY RESULTS.Everyone happy!I topped my school. I have been a good performer from the early sentient years of my school days.Won debates. Conducted plays.My teachers loved me like anything.Hold on for a bit. Things will change.Now comes the real question.STREAM SELECTION.In India especially in small towns like mine SCIENCE is the prechosen optin for any guy who makes it above 70 % in one’s matriculation. And those like me who got more than 90%.Bammn! Not just science - Either Engineer or doctor. Let them decide.I hailed from a small town where coaching centres and IIT training forums had not seeped till now.So send him to another town. A comparatively bigger one with coaching centers and IIT worshiping temples.Luckily, I cleared the entrance of one of the most reputed schools in Bokaro. The highly acclaimed one D.P. S .No one in my family, let alone no one from my school ever cleared that I exam . I did.The game begins.I didn’t want to study Science in the first place.And now pursuing it form such a taxing institution with highly ambitious and talented people. Who were actually interested in it. I was afraid,I wanted to do arts. Study History, English and stuff.(Just to mention I scored a perfect 100 in social science from class 1 to 10. Just to mention. No one actually cares about that.)Some dreams just never realise. It was one of those.I took Maths+ Comp. sc. A classic combination in middle-class Indian houses.The whole school departed me with wide eyes and floating expectations.I couldn’t handle that pressure. I never wanted to be that. Do that. Live that.After three weeks , I called my dad and broke into tears. He is a sensible man. He understood.I came back. Things changed. My years of reputation disintegrated like smoke. Instant.SO “ What will you do studying Arts? “Possibly. Become a teacher? A professor?There was no school in my hometown Which offered Humanities as a stream.And why should anyone? Was it even worth it? They all say.“Isse science nahi hoga! Ek kaam kariye isko commerce me daal dijiye”“ kuch nah Kuch to ho hi jaega… CA wagera kar lega. Itna accha student barbad karliya apna padhailikhayi.”I haven’t started school yet. And they have all decided What was going to happen. My career. My fate all shaped in their narrowminded judgment.I took Commerce by the way. ( At least I had Economics there.)I joined back the same school. I read in for the last 10 years.Things had changed already.I enter the school. Everyone whispering about me. The loquacious bad talk air flew all over the school. Every single child judged me like I was a criminal or something. I walked silently to the classroom.I enter the commerce section. A large boom spreads over the neighboring science classroom and the class I enter.Both hate me.A platoon of class10 friends come in an organized militarized group and bombard insulting questions, comments on me like gunfire.I bear it all. There wasn’t any other choice then.I started to avoid people in class and school.My chemistry teachers meet me in the school ground. She thought back in class 10. I would go to IIT. She mocks me in front of everybody.What did she say to me in front of a crowded school ground?“Kya kar liya Sagnik! Apna zindagi barbad kar liya. Itna din ka mummy papa ka paisa mehnat sab barbad kar diya. Commerce le liya. Kya karega.Job kaise milega?“Abhi bhi time hai Science le lo . Sab manage ho jaega.”“Apna carrer ka socho. Papa ke baare socho. Unka retirement se pehle job chahiye ki nahi?”Chill! Woman, I am just 16.But I wasn’t that chill back then. I started crying back home.Stopped coming to school.Regular insults and sarcastic comments from friends, teachers and related uncles , aunts, their ‘successful’ children made me sick.I felt bad about my parents. They had to bear it all.I did n’t leave the house. To be specific my room for months.Actually, I remained in my rooms for 3 months approximately.CLASS 11Term 1 resultsResult- 96%( A slight simple slap)Term-2Results- 98%Economics and Business studies - A perfect 100.(Another slight slap)(In the annual Class 11 exams, our school goes for inter-school checking.
