heywell you are comparing two entirely different branches.EIC will focus more on instrumentation and comes under the core electrical branch. It will focus more on electrical course material .While MPE is more focused on industrial engineering and production. It comes under the core branch mechanical.you have to decide you areas which interests you. Both the branches are good and will provide you with a good placements.If you are unable to decide your core interest then take any branch and go with it. You’ll develop interest in that.You can also change your branch if you wish.Thapar university is a very nice option for you. Take admission and get to know much more about them.Don’t worry about placements as both will provide you a nice one.All the best.Hope this helps.
