This is the demand - The real politic is that with this as the demand he expects at least the DyCM post for junior, and also 2 of 4 important ministries as well as, as many other ministries as they can get. In addition to that if he can get something in the Central Government.So he, or his Saamna editor is dividing the house as BJP - 105, while SS+NCP+INC =154 in a house of 288. And so claiming they don't need BJP.Uddhav, I feel has no touch with the people, but is swayed easily by such accountancy figures. Let us compare the performance of the 2 partners.BJP which contested 260+ seats last time in 2014 had won 122 seats means less than 50%, but this time because of coalition with Sena, BJP contested only 164 seats and had won 105 seats a whopping strike rate of 64% win. While SS contesting in 126 seats could get only 56 which is a strike rate of only 44.4%.NCP has strike rate of 44.6, and INC of 30%. Recognising this fact, now Congress and NCP have both accepted the verdict and vowed to sit in the opposition.Now let us look at what Uddhav is not looking at - there are 13 independents, out of 25 ′others’. Also his party is vulnerable, as 1/3 of 56 is 19. So 105+13+19= 137, a shortfall of only 8 seats and most of the elected MLAs of SS, can say with a clear conscience to their electorate that they sought votes in the name of the alliance and they are following the wishes of the people. And accommodating reasonable group of like minded faction of SS in the government would be easier for the BJP rather than to endure the perpetual tantrums of a feuding partner and his mouth piece of a newspaper. In the bargain, they will stand to loose their representation in the Central government also.
